"When is the soonest I can get to Russia? I need to find her and explain." I asked once I got over my laughter.

Hans leaned back in his chair and regarded me for a few minutes. Checking his clock it was close to 11pm.

"What about your Guardian title? Princess Dragomir and Lady Ozera are fight with the Council for you to get it back. If you leave. You it my take longer, or you may never get it back."

"Guardian Croft, before I was turned, my title and duty meant everything to me. I prided myself on it. Until I met a beautiful, smart, funny, bold, defiant, stubborn, headstrong, outspoken, loving, protective, young woman who turned my world upside down. As hard as I fought not to. I fell in love with Rose Hathaway Muzar. Now she is all that matters! She's the only one I want to protect. And that was before I found out she's Royal, now that I know she is, I want to be her Guardian, if I can't guard her, I don't want my title back because I refuse to guard anyone else."

"Is that so?"

"Yes sir!"

"So if I had that statement typed up you would sign it? Making it binding?"

"Type it up sir and give me a pen."

"Very well." Hens turns to his computer and starts typing. After a few minutes he finishes, prints it and gives it to me, with a pen. I read over it quickly, making sure it has everything I just stated then sign my name at the bottom, handing it back to Hans, he signs the bottom as well, and sets it aside. "I will do notifications and fillings with this when we are done here."

"So Russia sir?"

"I can have you on a plane leaving at 1am to Moscow. That's the best I can do."

"I'll take it! Thank you sir!" I exclaimed.

"One last thing, only a select few know Rose is Royal. Those closest to her know, Miss Mia, Lord Christian Ozera, Guardian Castel, and her own family of course and now you. Princess Dragomir and Lady Ozera do not, Prince Muzar wanted me to remind you of that and we would like to keep it that way for now."

"Yes sir, I understand sir. I don't want her put in anymore danger before the preparations can be made for when her Royal status is released."

"Good, dismissed." Nodded. I stand and shake his hand again. And turn for the door.

"Oh and don't forget these." Turning back he hands me a box, a very familiar box. Taking the box from him and looking him in the eye, I see a twinkle, a scheming kind of twinkle, the kind of twinkle I have seen in Roza's eyes.  "Have a good day Mr. Belikov."

"You as well Guardian Croft."

With that I tucked the box under my duster, confused, and made my way back to my room. Setting the box on my table. I pack my mer belongings. Then sit down with the box in front of me, I open it. 'It's just as I expected. Stakes. I'm not officially reinstated as a Guardian again and only official Guardians are supposed to carry stakes by our laws, not that those laws are forced, but the Head Guardian wouldn't be braking our own laws by handing stakes out. Did I just unofficial official become Roza's Guardian with that signed statement?'

Armed and bags in hand I leave my tiny room, leaving nothing behind. Before heading to the airstrip, I head to Princess Dragomir's again. After what I heard early, and not knowing when I will be back I have a few things to say to her and Tasha. And since the two seem to be unseparatable I'm hoping they are both still there. Luck was with me because they both were when I knocked.

"Dimitri, come in, what can I do for you?"

Keeping my anger behind my Guardian mask, as Rose called it, I told them, "I wanted to let you know I'm leaving, I'm going to visit my family. I don't know when I will return. But before I go. I have a few thing I would like to say to both of you."

"I want to start off by thanking you Princess for restoring me, but from what I understand it could have been any Strigoi, any spirit user. But you chose me, so thank you. However I have also since being made aware of that, that there were some reason why you chose me."

"Dimitri, I told you before you don't have to thank me. And yes you know those reasons, I found the information in a book and need to see if it could work. If it was possible. You were my Guardian beforehand, it only seemed fitting to try with someone who was close to me rather then someone I don't know."

"And what about your reason involving Rose?"

"I don't have any, she wasn't involved in any of this, I told you that already."

"So, you didn't restored me one for Rose, because she found the information and was the driving force to get it all and two because you promised me to her,.." pointing to Natasha, "..when you graduated?!"

"No, Dimitri it was none of that! I told you Rose gave up on you once she got back from Russia. And that's really repulsive that someone would make up such a lie, like I owned you or something." I could feel a little compulsion, but now it didn't touch me.  "Eww! That really gross." She added to make her lie more believable, "who would make up such lies, Dimitri, tell me who told you this?"

Not wanting her to know her compulsion wasn't working but but also not wanting to give my source away. I changed my voice a little for her to think it was and told her, "a letter was dropped off anonymously at my room, once I read it. I came to ask you about it and over heard you and Tasha fight over me and about Rose leave."

"Damnit Tasha, what the hell are we going to do now?"

"Oh dear, we will think of something. Don't drop the compulsion, I want to see what exactly he heard us say. If we need to, you can just erase his memory of this conversation and make him believe that letter was a lie."

"Alright, Tasha."

"Dimka, what exactly did you over hear when we was fight?"

" That you was happy Rose left, that Vasilisa was pissed that Rose isn't going to live and die for her now, that you wouldn't have to kill her to get me, that you have been planning our lives since I was 8, you are giving her three months to find a replacement Guardian for me and in that time she wants to at least have sex with me once. All the while your off with multiple men and that if you get pregnant you plan to compel me to think the bastard kid is mine!

Well I got news for the both of you! I don't want my title back. I just told Guardian Croft the same thing and signed a statement stating exactly that. So I won't be either of your Guardian's. Princess I would never see you sexual much less want to touch you sexual. And as for you Natasha! I have told you so many times I lost count! I don't care about you like that! I will never be with you like that! I thought you were a good friend but now I find out how much you have obsessed over me, since I was a boy no less. There is only one woman I have been or will ever be with sexual, and when I find my Roza and prove to her just how much I love her. I plan on never letting her go, ever again." Somewhere in this I had stood up and was screaming at them. Taking a deep breath. I turned to walk away. At the door I looked back at their still shocked faces, "oh and Princess, now my mind is clear from the restoration, your compulsion don't work on me." With those parting words I was off to Russia, to find my Roza!
