Chapter 7

Centauri gasps as she wakes up in the hospital bed

"Where is Bryson?" She asks the Doctor in the room

"Bryson suffered a massive head injury he's in a very critical state we took him up to surgery and it went successful now we sewed up the damage so we're hoping it holds" the doctor says

"And my baby?" Centauri says with tears in her eyes

"Your baby is fine Ms. Murphy" The doctor says "Also the police would like to ask you a few questions" he says

"Can I go see Bryson afterwards?" Centauri asks

"Absolutely but for now try to get some rest the police will be in here shortly" The doctor says

"Okay" Centauri says as she closes her eyes

Ten minutes later the police walk in and shut the door

"Ms. Murphy?" The police officer says

"Yes I'm Ms. Murphy?" Centauri says waking up

"How are you feeling? I'm detective James" James asks

"I'm fine I'm just worried about my family is all" Centauri says

"I understand. So we found a note in the truck that hit you and ran the fingerprints which led us to a Christopher Brown? Do you know him?" Detective James asks

"Yes he's my past abusive boyfriend he's been threatening us for months" Centauri says

"I see, well we are looking for him as we speak and we assure you that you, your baby, and Bryson will be safe okay?" James says

"Okay thank you so much" Centauri says

The doctor comes in after Detective James leaves

"Are you ready to go see him now?" Dr. Lee says

"Absolutely" Centauri says

Dr. Lee rolls Centauri down the hall to Brysons room in the wheel chair

"Just call us when you're ready to go back okay?" Lee says

"Sure" Centauri says with a shaky voice as she sees Bryson in a horrible state

"Bryson my Bryson" she says as she shakes her head and smiles as a tear falls " You have no idea how much I love you and how happy you make me. I figured out the baby's name. It's going to be Ella Mai Tiller. If it's a girl and for a boy it's gonna be Diasion Lamar Tiller. I know they're a little different but I know you like different and so do I. Listen baby.....you gotta get better ok?" Centauri says as she fights back tears " I can't do this by myself but I promise you Chris will pay for what he did I promise you that. We got one more month to go until the gender reveal. I can't believe I'm six months pregnant already." Centauri says

"Me.....either" Bryson says weakly

"Baby?! Baby you're okay how's your head?" Centauri asks

"Baby I'm okay just a little dizzy" Bryson says with a smile

"You want some water because I can get you some water if water is what you want because-" Centauri says as she's cut off by Bryson

"Centauri.....I'm fine" he says with a chuckle

"Okay" Centauri says with a relieving sigh

"Oh and baby....you better make him pay because if I die-" Bryson starts to say

"You won't die stop talking like that" Centauri says

"Let me finish, Centauri I'm going to die okay I can't come back from this and you know it. In the event that I do.....take care of my baby. Whatever the gender is let the baby know that their daddy loves them very much"  Bryson says as a tear falls

"What do I do when you're....gone?" Centauri says in tears

"Baby you fight for me and you get justice. Put out your songs baby because you have a beautiful voice. Most importantly, remember I love you to the heavens and back" Bryson says

"I love you so much more" Centauri says

"I'm sorry I didn't get to propose yet" Bryson says disappointedly

"No baby it's fine it's okay" Centauri says

"Look in my jacket pocket" Bryson says

"Umm Alright" Centauri says as she rolls over to his jacket. Centauri pulls out a golden box and rolls back over to Bryson

"Open it" He says with a smile

"Bryson what did you do?" Centauri says with tears in her eyes

"Just open it women" Bryson says

Centauri opens the box to find a twenty four carrot ring

"Oh my god it's beautiful"  Centauri says in awe

"Centauri Murphy will you give me the honor and the privilege of being your husband?" Bryson says admiring her

"Baby yes of course" She says with a smile and hugs him

"Now we might not make it to the wedding but I want you to always where that ring, and once it's time you take it off and put it somewhere safe. I want you to remarry when I'm gone. He needs to be better then me or coming close to being better you understand?" Bryson says

"But baby-" Centauri starts to say

"Do you understand?" Bryson interrupts her

"Yea.....yea I understand" Centauri says

"Also we should know the gender now because I won't be able to see it" Bryson says looking sad

"Um alright we can get a doctor in here" Centauri says holding his hand

A OBGYN comes in the room and starts to look at the baby

"It's a girl" The doctor says

"I knew it" Bryson says as he cry's tears of joy

"Baby Ella" Centauri says in administration

"Wait it looks like you're having twins the other baby is a boy" The doctor says with a smile

"My baby booooy" Centauri says

After everything is done Centauri spends the rest of the day in bed with Bryson talking to him

"Bryson can you do me a favor?" Centauri says

"Yea baby" Bryson says weakly

"Keep talking to me so I know when you go" Centauri says as a tear falls

"Okay" He says

"Are you going to watch over me and the twins?" Centauri asks

"Of c- course" Bryson says

"Are you going yet?" Centauri says in tears

"Y- Yes" Bryson says weakly

"I love you" She says

"I love you t- too" Bryson says

The machine beings to flatline and Centauri just lays there in his chest as his heart stops beating. The nurses rush in but stop once they see Centauri laying on him.....everything stops.....everything
