"Why didn't you tell me?" Chris said

"Tell you what?" Centauri says confused

"That if we ever had kids they could be deaf!" Chris says in a yelling whisper

"Because Chris kids were never a option for us and you know that" Centauri says

"It still would have been good to know just in case" Chris says will a tear rolling down his face.

"Come here" Centauri says as she pats a spot next to her on the hospital bed

Chris goes and sits next to her

"Our kids are going to be fine okay whatever it is we can take care of it. Don't worry about the money we can start performing." Centauri says

"Like...music and shit?" Chris says

"Yes we both can sing you can rap let's do it" Centauri says with a smile

"What about the kids?" Chris says

"What about them?" Centauri says

"When we're famous they won't be regular kids anymore, they will be Chris Brown and -" Chris starts to say

"Ella Mais kids" Centauri says with a smile

"You want to name yourself after our daughter?" Chris says with a laugh

"Yea why not???" Centauri says with a smile

"Cen do you know how contradicting that is?" Chris asks

"Yea I thought about that" Centauri says

"So you've thought about naming yourself this??!!" Chris says with laughter

"Of course I have" Centauri says laying down in the bed smiling

The doctor walk back in the room with the babies

"How are they?" Chris asks with worry

"Diasion is Fine he has complete hearing his sight is great everything is good" The doctor says

"And Ella ?" Centauri says

"We've done every test and she can see very well but her hearing test came back as zero percent meaning Ella is completely deaf....I'm so sorry" the doctor says

"So- So you're saying that my daughter....OUR baby can't hear a word we're saying right now?" Chris says with tears

"I'm afraid so... I'm very sorry" The doctor says

"Oh my god" Centauri says with her hand over her mouth crying

"You can hold her if you'd like" the doctor says

" wait where's our son???" Chris says

"Your son is fine he's just in the NICU getting medicine that we give all the new born babies. There's nothing to worry about just try and focus on your little girl. I'll be back to discuss the treatment plans for Ella alright?" The doctor says

"Thank you" Centauri says as she holds Ella

"Chris everything will be fine....we'll get the money" Centauri says

"HOW?!" Chris yells waking up Diasion

"Great now he's crying" Centauri says getting him out the hospital baby bed

"....I'm sorry" Chris says

"No I get it....you're scared. You have the right to be." Centauri says rocking Diasion

"Let me get his bottle" Chris says

"It's in his baby bag over there in the chair" Centauri says not taking her eyes off of Diasion

Chris hands her the bottle

"So you just got used to me yelling at you like that?" Chris says ashamed

"Pretty much" Centauri says with a straight face

"I'm sorry....really" Chris says

"It's fine...." Centauri says as she feeds Diasion

"No it's not fine...." Chris says

"Just promise me something Christopher" Centauri says

"What is it????" Chris asks

"Please don't ever hit me in front of these kids....I want them to always feel like they can talk to you. I want Diasion to know how to treat a woman and I want Ella to know how she's supposed to be treated. Like the princess she is and you need to make her feel like that everyday you live." Centauri says

"Cen-" Chris starts to say

"JUST promise me okay???" Centauri says fighting back tears

".....I promise" Chris says

"....thank you" Centauri says about to put Diasion in his hospital bed when the doctor walks in with papers

"Okay these papers are a list of doctors who work with babies who are hard of hearing of deaf they are amazing and good at their job I highly recommend them" the doctor says

"So what do they do?" Centauri asks

"Well they do speech therapy and they fit your baby for a hearing aid they also will suggest a cochlear implant but I say don't get it" the doctor says

"What does it do?" Chris asks

"Well it gives your baby partial to most hearing but the risk includes infection and damage of the membranes around the brain which is very dangerous for your daughter especially since she's just a baby" the doctor says

"So how much would it be to get hearing aids?" Centauri asks while holding Diasion

"Well they range from $1000-$4000 for each devise" the doctor says

"Oh my god" Centauri says

"How do people afford them?" Chris asks

"Well most of my patients that are deaf or hard of hearing are singers or actresses or people who make a lot of money so to them it's nothing. In the mean time I suggest you take your daughter to a specialist to get her used to hearing sounds or feeling beats but most importantly sign language. They do have family classes which is best when it's the child so that you all can communicate at home" the doctor says

"So how will the baby know what the words mean??" Chris says

"She won't do that's why I say start doing the sign language therapy at the age of 3. Until then practice for you too wouldn't hurt" the doctor says

"Ok well thank you so much for helping us doctor?" Centauri says

"Dr. Wilson" the doctor says

"It was my pleasure me and my husband have a deaf daughter and she's very smart and very talented your daughter will be fine" she says

"Thank you" Chris says

"Have a good day guys I'll have one of my nurses come and give you the discharge papers"  Dr. Wilson says

"Okay" Centauri says

"We got this okay? Ella will be okay she'll me fine." Chris says

"I know....I know" Centauri says holding Diasion and Ella.
