My hand is shaking on the trigger...
I don't know what do do...
I can't possibly shoot one of my best friends...can I?

"Please Tommy, Please," Newt Pleads.

I wake up sobbing to the sound of a gunshot vibrating through my mind.

"Woah...hey, Thomas! Are you alright?" Minho asks quietly as he rushes toward me.

"Yeah, just a bad dream," I respond. "Sorry to wake you,"

Minho puts a teasing grin on his face, "Well, you do know how much I need my beauty sleep. It takes a lot for me to look like this," I laugh as he gestures to his body while modeling himself for me.

"Oh, knock it off you shuck face," I tease, still laughing.

Minho's face grows stern. "But seriously, Thomas. Are you ever going to tell me what these nightmares are all about?"

I debate telling him for a second...telling him all of it! Minho is my best friend in the world right now, after all. But telling him what my nightmares are about, would also mean having to tell him what happened to Newt...what I did to Newt. We've been here, in this "Paradise" for a few months now, maybe Minho could handle me telling him-

No...I couldn't do that to him. Not now...

"No, I'm fine Minho...get some sleep," I manage what I mean to be an encouraging grin, but what probably looked weak, and uncertain.

Minho stares at me uncertainly for a second, then puts back on his usual sassy attitude as he turns back toward his makeshift cot at the other end of the small hut we share together. "If you have anymore nightmares, please try not to wake me up," he says with a wink before sprawling across his cot and letting sleep take over him, hearing his breathing begin to steady.

I lay on my own cot thinking about what it would be like to tell Minho what happened the night I shot Newt. Would he understand? Would he get furious with me? Does he already know?

That last thought keeps me thinking until finally sleep grabs it's hold on me and I fall into a dream...this time, a good one.
