26 | seperation and depression

"Donghyuck! Come down stairs!" Aphrodite yelled. It's only been a day since Donghyuck last saw Mark and he already misses him.

Donghyuck didn't yell back saying he was coming down. He just got up and walked downstairs.

Aphrodite looked at him. He was a mess and it was quite noticeable. His eyes were somehow still red and puffy. His hair was mess and it was clear he did not take a shower. His face was pale and his aura was a sick color. Donghyuck also had a monotone face. No expression was shown.

"Donghyuck? Are you ok?" Aphrodite asked. Donghyuck only looked at her and slowly nodded his head.

Donghyuck was clearly not ok.

"I have planned a date for you and Jaemin today! So please go upstairs and fix yourself up a bit," Aphrodite said trying to cheer him up but it wasn't working out.

Donghyuck nodded his head and walked up the stairs and got dressed. He still looked like a mess. It was written all over his face.

He was still depressed. He wanted to see Mark. He couldn't handle being separated from him even for a day.

He walked downstairs. He looked at his mother writing stuff down in her notebook. She was still planning their wedding.

"I'm dressed," Donghyuck said with a unenthusiastic voice.

"You look great!" Aphrodite smiled. Donghyuck only gave a weak smile back and returned to the same sad face he had earlier.

The door bell ringed.

"Jaemin must be here already!" Aphrodite said in excitement. She got up from her seat and happily walked over to the door.

She opened the door and Jaemin was standing there with a great smile on his face.

"Hello Ms!" Jaemin said.

"Jaemin!" She said as she pulled him into a hug.

"Donghyuck is in the living room. Would you like to come in and maybe you two can chat for a bit?" Aphrodite asked. Jaemin nodded his head and walked into the living room.

"Hey Donghyuck!" Jaemin said as soon as he saw him.

Donghyuck looked up and saw Jaemin standing in front of him with a smile. His smile quickly disappeared once he saw Donghyuck's expression.

"What's wrong?" Jaemin asked as he kneeled down in front of him.

"Nothing," Donghyuck said as he shook his head.

"Just smile ok? It will help you feel better," Jaemin said. Donghyuck nodded his head and gave him a fake smile.

"Jaemin? Where are you two going for today?" Aphrodite asked.

"I though maybe we could walk around the town or go to the park," Jaemin said.

"I think you two should walk around the town so everybody will know you two are together," Aphrodite said.

"I want to go to the park and have privacy unlike my mother here," Donghyuck said as he got up and gave his mother a dirty look.

"Alright bye Ms! We'll be back by 7 or 8," Jaemin said. Aphrodite nods her head.

They walk away and exit the castle.

"How am I going to tell Donghyuck? He's in an unhappy mood. Maybe today is not the day," Jaemin thought to himself. He planned on confessing his feelings. He had developed a liking towards Donghyuck.

The one thing he didn't know was that Donghyuck was dating Mark and that the reason why Donghyuck is down is because he got separated from the person he loved the most.

"I hope we have a great time and I get to cheer you up," Jaemin says a bit awkwardly. Donghyuck just nodded his head. He remained quite.

Mark woke up the next morning. He had finally calmed down.

Mark decided to go back to the castle. Even though he knew that his father was going to say something about it. He had to go back.

"Taeil. I have to accept defeat. I'm going back to my father," Mark said to Taeil.

"At least you had time to calm down," Taeil said. Mark only gave him a weak smile and nod.

Mark missed Donghyuck just as much as Donghyuck missed him. He misses his smile, his beauty and his personality. He no longer has him by his side.

"Bye Taeil! Thanks for letting me stay over your place," Mark said as he was about to head out his house.

"Mark. I just wanted to say. You have gotten really nice recently. I remember you would come over my house with Taeyong and be all moody. Even without him you'd be moody. You've never really thanked me. I think Donghyuck is a good influence for you," Taeil said.

"I agree with you Taeil. It's just I don't think my father would think he's a good influence in me," Mark said rubbing his nape.

"True. Anyway bye Mark!" Taeil said as he laughed. Mark smiled back at him.

It was the first genuine smile Taeil has ever gotten from Mark. He was really liking the sweet and soft side of Mark.
