" Hey, (Y/n)-chan?" Gon asked. I looked in his direction giving him a smile, " What is is Gon?"

He looked almost hesitant to say anything, his fingers fumbling together. " About what the old woman said...what did she mean by a tattoo?" The black-haired boy finally asked, looking at me with a curious expression.

" Yeah! And about that sword?" Leorio asked from behind. Kurapika looked interested as well but said nothing to show it.

I reached down and gripped the edge of my skirt, slowing my pace to match the boys behind me, all of us now walking together.
" The tattoo is something my clan wore, to show our status. Or to show outsiders who we belonged to." I spoke. Kurapika then added, " one diamond means lower class, two means middle, three high, three with a white border is the leader's family or next heir, and four is the leader. Though this is all based on strength. The more you have, the more you are able to access." I smiled at him, " You know a lot about my family."

The blonde smiled back, nodding " Of course, your clan is fascinating."
" Couldn't someone just draw on the tattoo and infiltrate your camp though?" Leorio asked his full attention on you. You shook your head. " Our tattoos are made with a special ink. It's made from a flower that grew only in our village, it was called the Moonlight blossom. It was a gorgeous royal blue. It was my favorite flower." I explained smiling sadly at the memory.

" How many diamonds do you have (Y/n)-chan?" Gon questioned. I stopped, walking in front of them. I looked around cautiously, then slowly lifted my skirt to reveal three Royal blue diamonds with a white rim. " You're the Chief's daughter!?" The three exclaimed, making me hush them quickly. I sighed " Was."

I turned around and began walking again. " And the sword is my clan's treasure. I was able to save it. Though I don't use it, I use my war fan."

" There's something I'm curious about. Just from a fellow survivor perspective." Kurapika started, me giving a hum to continue. " How did you survive?"

That made me stop, eyes going wide. I swallowed hard, my legs feeling like jello.
" (Y/n)-chan?" Gon asked in worry. He walked up and grabbed my shoulder, which I roughly jerked off.

" I-I....I don't like remembering that day. I don't wanna talk anymore." I said quietly, my voice barely above a whisper, and began walking again. Though I stumbled every once in a while.

I tentatively reached up and grabbed my locket, rubbing my thumb over the engraved writing gently. I closed my eyes, ' I'm sorry...you guys shouldn't have saved me. I'm the reason you died...'

3rd person POV:
The three boys in the back looked sadly at the little girl in front of them. " Wow, I've never seen (Y/n)-chan act like that before." Gon said quietly.

Kurapika felt regretful. He didn't mean to bring up any bad memories. He'd have to apologize to her.

The group had been walking for a while now. Gon was looking at all the flora and fauna, Leorio was complaining about the walk, You and Kurapika were walking silently.

You were sadly staring at the ground, trying to forget any bad memories that still lingered. Kurapika looked very guilty whenever you looked back at the boys, it made your heart hurt. You hoped he wasn't feeling bad over this.

Kurapika had come up next to you, walking beside you at a slow pace. He looked hesitant to speak, but he eventually did. " (Y/n)...I apologize if I brought up any...bad memories. I suppose my curiosity got the better of me." The blonde spoke quietly, looking down in slight shame.

You shook your head, " No not at all, it's human nature to be curious. I...I just have trouble answering that kind of stuff.." You smiled nervously at that, fiddling with your skirt again. " I can answer it now, maybe...maybe this will help me get better about this." You told him softly.

Kurapika's eyes widened, and quickly tried to put that idea down, but you shook your head and gave him a small smile, " it's alright, I promise I want to tell you. After all, survivors stick together right?"
The blonde chuckled slightly " Yeah I guess."

Taking in a deep breath, you started to explain your story. " My parents and I were protected when the Troupe came. Even though my parents hated the idea of not fighting, the village agreed that if they were to die for the honor of our clan...it was worth it. So, my parents and I were put into a room with our family treasures and our supplies." You started to choke up a bit but continued on. " Everything was fine until...He...came into the room. My parents jumped up to protect me..and he grabbed their heads and just.....smashed them."
Your voice grew to a whisper at the end of your sentence.

You shuddered fearfully. " The amount of blood was overwhelming. Luckily, I was fast enough to grab my bag, the katana, and then flee. I know...I'm a big coward. Not very fitting of the last Hishigata huh?" You chuckled bitterly at the end of that sentence.

Kurapika scowled, eyes glowing a slight scarlet in anger. " That's the most bogus thing I've ever heard." Your head snapped up in slight shock, " Wha-" Kurapika cut you off, " You're very brave in my opinion, you survived this long all alone with those memories, you saved Katsuo, and you speak your mind no matter what anyone says. And despite all that you still smile like everything is alright. I've never met a Hishigata before, but if they were all like you, then they were some wonderful people I bet."  The blonde finished, smiling down at you with admiration.

Your eyes widened significantly, tears threatening to spill as you snapped your head down and wiped your eyes roughly on your sleeve. Sniffling, you giggled smiling back up at the Kurta graciously, " Wow, Heh, it's been so long since I've heard anything good about myself." You laughed. Kurapika frowned but didn't pry as to what you meant. Instead, he smiled at you before Gon rushed up and wrapped his arms around your neck, " Are you better now (Y/n)-chan? I heard you laughing!" You giggled at his enthusiasm, gently pushing off your shoulders so he could walk beside you, " Yeah I'm okay! Pika cheered me up!"

Gon grinned at you, " Yay! Good job Kurapika!". The blonde smiled, " I'm just doing what any other friend would do."

" SPEAKING OF FRIEND, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME?!!!!"

You all stopped and turned to see Leorio, on the ground panting. " We've been walking forever! I'm running out of energy." The elder complained, groaning more as the rest of you laughed.

Sprinting over to him, you rolled him over on his back smiling brightly at him " Don't worry Oreo-Chan! I'll carry you okay!" Leorio was annoyed with the nickname but instantly shrieked as you lifted him bridal style in your small arms, not even seeming to sweat his weight.  " OI! OI! OI! (Y/N)!" He screamed as you continued to walk with him off into the distance, Kurapika and Gon trailing behind laughing at your actions.
