Chapter 5

The music pounded with her heart.

"Come on sing along girls" The DJ call. An uproar of girl started sing along with the music.

“Make me feel, like I’m the only girl in the world. Like I’m the only girl you could ever love...." Lina was dancing with her friend Hailey and sang at the top of her voice. Electric colours span around the room, making the room look like a different planet.

"Come on let's get something to eat" Hailey told Lina.

"Okay" Lina screamed back. The two girls wiggled through the crowd.

“How did I ever listen to you? I hate night clubs." Lina looked down at what she was wearing. Tight navy blue jeans and a white tank top with brown knee high boots.

"Well you didn't I forced you" Hailey stop laughing, "sorry I just couldn't see you that sad. That boy really hurt you, didn't he?"

"Well" Lina started to reply when a boy came over a whisked Hailey over to the dance floor.

"Tell me later " she called and started laughing again.

'I wonder ‘Lina pondered ‘what happened to that boy"

“Hi I was" Sirge started

"about to pay for our horse rides, yes what's your name." a lady interrupter

"Sirge"

"okay two hundred dollars please." Sirge rolled his eyes and pulled a tiny piece of gold, about as big as finger nail on his little finger. The lady's mouth gaped. She quickly closed it and took the gold.

"So you’re the boy Lina took out. Hmmm “she quickly punched him in the stomach.

“ What was that for?" Sirge cried in pain.

“For hurting Lina " The lady said then turned around and walked off.

“There goes the idea of asking her." Sirge said out load.

"I know where she is" a stable boy said.

"Tell me"

 "Fine, but if she gets hurt one more time you are so dead." he made a killing action.

“she got drag out of here bye Hailey to fifth road night club, you have to go down an ally though." Sirge turn towards the city and started walking.

"It’s eleven already" Lina said to herself, "best be leaving." she waved to Hailey in the mass. She turned to walk out the door. It was dark outside and quiet the wind howled down the alley blowing her coat up. She patted down her coat and started walking home. Shadows watched her as she walked down the alley. She heard someone land behind her and quickly turned around to see a man dressed in black.

"Hello flower" the man said. Lina started walking backward then turned around to see him in front of her. She started to panic. The man backed her into a corner his eyes glowing red.

"Who are you, what are you doing?" She asked trying to get away from him.

"Don’t worry my sweet, it will be over soon."

 'What is this man? Is he on drugs or something? ‘The man smelt her neck

"I can smell it now, you’re scared, good, keep it that way."

Lina saw white fangs "VAPIRE!"

Sirge heard an echo thought the ally

"Lina" Sirge realised "silly girl." He started running down the alley clicking his fingers. "Got it" he said to himself as a fire roared up from his hand. He turned a corner to see Lina being pushed against a create. The man had one of his hands over her mouth to stop her screaming again and he was whispering in her ear.

“I though mothers told children not to play with their food." Sirge said instantly the Vampire turned around and hissed “Though you don't have one. Let her go!" Sirge Yelled.

" it's not my food," he turned Lina around shielding himself, "you are no prince charming like everyone thinks you are you are just weak." he spat on the ground

" So long boy!" wind howled down the alley the man, and Lina, were gone.
