The Tempest's Revenge

For many years, the tempests rage
From sailors breath to sailors bane
But thy heart, as stubborn as thee
From mornings in to each days end
Shall cast itself onto stormy seas
Seeking not glory, bounty, nor fame
But the warm honey of thy sailors eye
Which casts itself onto clashing waves
And she, seeking the hero's fate
Will come across traitorous rocks
Where laid out on the bones of men
In mist and fog, in shadow and in myth
The sirens sing to the tempests rage
In the finely woven net of song they cast
Thy sailors heart is lured and bound
to the depths of stormy seas
And thy heart, perched in mist and in fog
On the bones of past lovers laid astray
Shall take thy song and sing onto storm
Calling to thy sailor with the eyes of honey
And the dreams of a hero's fate
