Joshua said to the people, "Make yourselves holy! Tomorrow the Lord will do wonderful things among you.
"Holy"
exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness
The Lord wants us to be holy meaning that our path is in the goodness and righteousness in our daily life.
Holy that to the goodness and being righteous not as holy that we make ourselves like as divine entity . Many people nowadays make themselves holy but in the wrong way they look themselves as like God and with the perspective of life they have.
They are misguided and thinking their action is always right pride taking control of them and they become boastful in their whole life. They judged people easily through their mouth and minds and their actions is always wrong in front of others people.
This is not the Lord wants us to be holy, the holy that he wants is we avoid getting sinned in our life but take the path of righteousness and try to avoid always making sinned. We as human all of us is always sinned no one to us to be called as perfect.
He wants us to take the path of righteousness so he capable to do things wonderful things to us and if we always getting sinned big or little. Its making us unholy whatever the sin we have even its little or big because sinning is always unholy so if we always making sinning then we are not capable of the wonderful things if we want to experience his great miracle among to us we need to prepare ourselves in the path of righteousness
