Chapter 3 - Teasing

The guild placed me and Lucy on one of the guild's tables and surrounded us. Gray, Gajeel and Laxus were snickering as they were looking down at me. I glared at them as threatening as I could. "Even his glare is cute!" Gray exclaimed and then the three of them burst out laughing. "This is humiliating" I muttered as I looked down to the table. I felt a paw on my shoulder and I looked up to see it belonged to Lucy. "Cheer up Natsu, we'll get through this" she told me. "Yeah, thanks Lucy" I replied with a smile.

"So, who's going to take care of them until they change back?" Max asked. "I think Team Natsu should take care of them" Mira suggested. "I agree, we should stick together as a team" Erza replied. I noticed Gray had a smirk on his face and I can tell he likes the idea so he can tease me. This is going to be hell until I change back then I will pay him back for everything.

Everyone except Team Natsu left the table and Happy walked up to me. "I never thought I would see Natsu as a kitten" he said as he stroked my head twice. "We need to go to Mermaid Heel and ask Millianna to change them back. We will go tomorrow morning" Erza said. "Where are we going to stay tonight? Natsu and Gray aren't allowed in Fairy Hills" Wendy asked.

"We can't stay at my place because I have no room for everyone" Gray said. "So, it's between Natsu's and Lucy's place" Erza said. "Well Natsu's and my place isn't suited for guests" Happy commented. "So that leaves Lucy's place" Carla said. "What?!" Lucy exclaimed beside me. "What's wrong? It's not the first time we slept over" I asked, "it's not that. It just everyone always invites themselves over without asking me first" she replied.

Suddenly someone picked me up from behind and I turn to see it was Happy. He held me in his paws and I saw Gray putting Lucy on his shoulder to sit. I hissed at him and he gave me a teasing smile. "Aw what wrong Pinky?" he teased and rubbed the top of my head with his finger, knowing I couldn't do anything in Happy's paws. "Stop teasing him Gray" Erza warned, "he makes it hard not to" he replied. I glared at Gray as we made our way out of the guild.

We stopped by Fairy Hills and Gray's place for their clothing before arriving at Lucy's apartment. Once we were inside, Happy and Gray placed me and Lucy on the table. I stood in front of Lucy and hissed at Gray as a message to 'back off'. "Natsu, he knows I'm yours and he's just teasing you" Lucy said rubbing her body against my side. Surprisingly I felt calmer after she did that. "So, first things first, sleeping arrangements. Wendy and Carla will take the bed, Gray, Happy and I will sleep on the floor and Natsu and Lucy will sleep in this basket I found in the kitchen" Erza said.

"Why do you have a basket?" I asked Lucy, "I use it for holding fruit on my table" she replied. We watched as Wendy added a folded-up blanket as a cushion inside the basket. "There, that should make it comfy" she said as she put it on the floor beside Lucy's desk. Suddenly my stomach rumbled loudly and everyone turned to look at me. "Sounds like Flame Brain is hungry" Gray said, "I'll cook us some dinner" Wendy said and ran into the kitchen. "I'll help you" Carla offered and followed after her.

I felt something whack me on the head and I looked up to see it was Gray's finger. He did it again and then I tried to smack it away with my paw every time he was about to hit me but failed. I was getting angrier and angrier with every hit and I was sure he knew that since I couldn't punch him back. "Gray, what did I say about teasing him?" Erza asked calmly. "I know but when will I get this chance again? Where I can hit him and he can't hit me back" he chuckled. "I can see how that is appealing but stop" she replied, "fine" he groaned and collapsed on the armchair.

He looked like he got an idea and moved to sit at Lucy's desk with his back to us. "What is he-? Aaaaaaaaaaah!" Lucy screamed. Gray was reading her novel, the same one he didn't get to finish during the Phantom Lord attack. "Stop reading that!" Lucy hissed at him, he looked back at her and then went back to reading it. "I'm going to kill him when I turn back to normal" she said with flames in her eyes. "I'll join you" I said, thinking about punching him as soon as I turn back to normal.

After a few minutes, Wendy and Carla finished cooking dinner and laid the food on the table. Wendy, Erza and Gray sat at the table while Happy, Carla, Lucy and I sat on top of the table. Lucy and I were eating cooked tuna slices, the same kind I hand fed to Lucy last time she turned into a kitten. I thought it was cute back then how she relied on me and now she's my girlfriend. It's funny to think about how that situation brought us closer together.

After dinner, everyone had a bath except me and Lucy. We were still a little dirty from our adventure through the dirty alleyways. "So, does anyone know how to clean a kitten?" Erza asked as she looked down at us. "I've washed Lucy when she was a kitten last time" Gray said. "Alright, I'll leave bathing them to you" she replied. Gray nodded and carried Lucy in his hand while he carried me by the scruff of my neck to the bathroom. I tried to struggle and scratch him but I couldn't reach. I can't wait to turn back to normal and punch him for all the teasing.
