Chapter 18 - Favours

It felt amazing to be human again. I missed my strong handsome body and being able to fight Ice Princess. I was sitting next to Lucy at the bar talking with Happy while she drank her strawberry milkshake. "Oi Salamander" a gruff voice called out behind me and I turned to see Gajeel. "What do you want Metal Head?" I asked and then he smirked. "Time to make do on your favours gihi" he said and I groaned. I was hoping he had forgotten about that.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked unenthusiastically. "Follow me" he said and walked towards the back of the guild. I followed him and he led me to a changing room. "Your outfit is inside" he smirked and shoved me into the changing room before slamming the door shut. I sighed before spotting my outfit folded up on a chair. Without a word, I slipped on the outfit and then looked at myself in the mirror. I was shocked, Gajeel made me wear a red bunny girl outfit. I want to kill that metal head!

Suddenly the door opened and Gajeel peeked his head through. He was dressed in his stage gear. "Are you done? Gihi it suits you" he teased. I glared at him hoping to burn a hole into his thick iron skull. "Come on the show is about to start. Ladies first" he said, signalling me to move with his chin. I was sure wanted me to walk in front of him so he knows I won't back out. I groaned as I stomped out of the room and towards the stage with Gajeel behind me.

I took in my place on stage beside Gajeel behind the closed curtain, hoping my embarrassment will be swift. Now that everything was set, the curtains raised and Gajeel started singing. If I can call it singing... Everyone turned their attention to the stage and stared at me. "Dance Bunny Boy" Gajeel grumbled and I began to dance. Everyone laughed at me as I danced like a woman.

I danced for about a minute before Gajeel turned his head towards the side of the stage. "Get out here Bunny Girl" he called out before he continued singing. "Bunny Girl?" I muttered, there's only one person he calls by that name. Suddenly Lucy, in the same outfit as I was wearing, was pushed onto the stage by Gray. Some of the men who were laughing at me turned to Lucy with lust in their eyes. I growled, "STOP LOOKING AT HER!" I shouted at the men as I threw Lucy over my shoulder and ran off the stage. I heard Gajeel and Gray laughing behind me.

I took Lucy into the changing room and locked the door before putting her down. As soon as her feet touched the ground, I grasped her shoulders. "Why did you go out there dressed like that?" I asked as I looked deep into her eyes. "Gajeel told me that since it's my fault that you have to do these favours for them I have to do the favours too" she explained with a guilty expression. 'Gajeel and Gray purposely pushed Lucy into this so I would get mad' I thought, understanding the situation.

"Listen Lucy. It's not your fault I'm doing this" I said, "but the only reason you have those favours is because you were trying to save me" she replied. "If anyone is to be blamed for this it would be Taka and Saiki for turning us into kittens so don't worry about it" I said to reassure her. She gave me a little smile and then we heard a knock on the door. "Lucy, Flame Brain, get change and meet us at the bar so we can tell you the next favour" we heard Gray say through the door. "Lucy's not doing anymore favours for you!" I shouted back through the door. "Fine, just hurry up and change" I heard him reply.

Lucy and I got changed with our backs facing each other. "Hey Natsu?" Lucy called out and I was about to turn around when a pillow hit at my face. "Don't look!" she shouted and I immediately turned back around. "So, what were you going to say?" I asked as I put on my vest. "I was wondering if you wanted to take a job tomorrow?" she asked. "Yeah! I've been itching to fight some bad guys or a monster! I feel fired up!" I replied excitedly. I heard her giggle at my excitement.

When we were finished changing, we walked into the guild hall and went to the bar where Gray and Gajeel were relaxing. "So, what's the next thing you want me to do?" I asked with my arms crossed. "You, Salamander, have to be our servant for the rest of the day" Gajeel replied. "Alright" I sighed and both of them smirked. "Lets start small. Get us some pastries from that famous bakery on the other side of town" Gray said and I ran out of the guild towards the bakery.

By the time I arrived at the bakery, there was a mile-long line. I groaned as I joined the long boring line. 'This is going to be long and boring but at least the longer I am in this line, the less time I have to serve those two jerks' I reasoned with myself. After an hour of shuffling with the zombies, I finally got to the front of the line and bought the pastries. I ran all the way back guild and gave them their pastries.

"This would go well with coffee from that famous coffee shop, don't you think so Gajeel?" Gray smirked. "Yeah, go get some slave" Gajeel replied and shooed me away. I growled and stomped out of the guild. When I got to the coffee shop there was another line but not as long as the bakeries. Shuffling with the zombies again for half an hour, I finally reached the front of the line and bought the coffee. With the coffee in my hands, I rushed back to the guild.

The orders kept coming and were getting harder. Most of the time they would ask me to fetch outrageous things for them or entertain them somehow. As soon as the clock strike midnight, I started a fight between the three of us. We broke up the fight when Gramps shouted at us and shoved us out of the guild to lock up for the night.

Since it was late, I headed towards Lucy's apartment. I wondered where Happy went to while I was doing all those favours on the way. Probably trying to get Carla to accept his fish. When I arrived at Lucy's apartment, I noticed her bedroom window was open. 'She was expecting me' I thought with a smile spreading on my face. I jumped up to the window and looked down at Lucy who was sleeping peacefully. I noticed she was hugging a blue furball in her arms and saw it was Happy. Now I know where he went. I glared at his sleeping body because he was in my spot.

I climbed inside and slowly picked him up by his bag, which I don't understand why he sleeps with it. I laid him down on the couch and luckily for me he stayed asleep. Now that the furball was out of my spot, I climbed into Lucy's bed and cuddled with her. She hugged me closer in her sleep and I smiled. I closed my eyes and dreamed about our next adventure together.
