Background: Taeyun has a strong friendship IU as IU is friends with her older adoptive brother. IU sees Taeyun as her daughter and treats her like her own. On Taeyun's phone, IU is saved as MommaBear❤️❤️. When they first met it was quite a story and neither of the pair could tell it without having a laughing fit. It started when one day, IU came to the house to see Taeyun's brother but Taeyun didn't know. As both IU and Taeyoung (Taeyun's older brother), they heard a scream coming from the top of the staircase and then several thuds. At the bottom of the steps with her eyes closed, laid Taeyun. Taeyoung quickly got up to make sure Taeyun was okay.
These were actually the words that came out Taeyun after she feel down the stairs, IU years later revealed.
"I saw a spider in my room and we made eye contact. I screamed and tried to run away but I tripped over my feet and fell down the stairs. Oh but is that your girlfriend? If not why? She's sooooo pretty." as Taeyun referred to IU making both her brother and IU blush.
IU has always said how she'll never forget Taeyun's face when she talking to her brother with that pout that was firmly on her lips.

Both Umji and Taeyun trained under BigHit and when the members from GFriend went to their company, Umji and Taeyun stayed close friends. When they were on filming the Family song, the two female maknaes were annoying the hell out of the their members. If it wasn't playing with their hair and messing it up, it would be stealing something from them either their phones or food. Both of the girls decided it would be a good idea to scare Jimin and Hoseok because why not. One would hide behind a door and the one would tell the the boys that the other girl wanted them in the other room. Then when both boys had entered, they both would scare them. This plan was filmed on V-live and both fandoms laughed at both Umji and Taeyun prank.

Jennie
From the start when BTS debuted, Jennie had an eye on Taeyun. When the occasion rose for the two of them to meet, Jennie took it with both hands. It was so funny when they actually became friends. Whenever someone mentions their friendship, the both of them would start laughing. It was a warmish day when it was Taeyun's turn to get the drinks for practice. Taeyun being the clumsy girl that she is, when walking out of the shop, she bumped into someone spill the drink on the other person's clothes. Taeyun had bumped into the person so hard that she had fallen on her butt. When Taeyun realized that she had bumped into someone, she quickly got up and began to apologize and bowing. Jennie saw this cute girl who keep bowing and saying sorry. It wasn't long before the two of them was best friends.
