Dyslexia: A learning disability, that affects the way you read, write and understand written things. As a result those who suffer from dyslexia, may struggle with spelling and will most times mix up words meaning. This does not however affect general intelligence.
Taeyun's POV:
I stared at the words that were written on the pages in front of me. The words seemed to be floating in my face and then getting jumbled up; recreating a completely new sentence, confusing me in the process. I blinked constantly hoping the words would settle on the page. Nothing worked. Everything was still swimming in my vision, I rested my head on the table and decided to not do the work.
At the end of the lesson my teacher collected all of the work completed in that lesson. When she approached me, I gave her a blank stare which she sighed in return. With disappointment engraved into her face, she then told me that she wanted to talk to me after the bell.
So when the bell went I waved goodbye to my friends and indicated to them to tell Jungkook to wait for me outside. After everyone was cleared out, my teacher walked up to me.
"Taeyun, what's going on? How come you can never complete the work that I've set for you?"
"I don't know Ms."
"You don't know? Taeyun, we both know that real reason is because you don't want to do your work. Even when you do some of your work, which is rare, you take to long to settle down and focus on what your suppose to be doing."
"Like I said before Ms, I don't have a reason why I can't do my work."
"That leaves me with one chose. I'm going to have to call Jin and inform him that your refusing to do your work. Let's see what he has to say about it. You're dismissed."
And by the time I had reached back to the dorm with Jungkook, my teacher had already called Jin. I sighed. To try an avoid Jin, I crept up to my room and tried to hide. This however, was short lived as the minute Jin saw Jungkook, he knew I was home too, and called me downstairs.
When I reached the kitchen door, Taehyung was leaving and mouthed a good luck giving me a quick pat on the back, before quickly leaving me. Jin was leaning against and I knew straight away that things weren't going to go my way.
"Taeyun, earlier I received a phone call from your teacher. She complained that your not doing your work in class, but rather 'resting'. She also says that you refuse to do your work, and when you decide to put in some effort, it's so little it's better that you didn't even try in the first place. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"I don't have a reason to why I don't do my work."
"Come on Taeyun, there has to be a reason to why you don't do your work. Is it to try and look cool in front of your class? Or are you purposely trying to get more attention? What's the reason Taeyun?"
"Oppa, when I see words on a page, they seem to float around and then they jumble up creating a completely new sentence all together. No matter what I do, nothing works. Nothing." I said, almost feeling like a weight had been taken off my shoulders, only to feel crushed inside.
"Taeyun that makes no sense at all. Are you trying to say that the words are coming to life, because we both know that can't happen. And what your saying is nonsense! How come that never happens when your learning a song? You seem to be able to read that easily."
"If you think my reasoning is nonsense, why did ask? Because that's truth and why I can't do my work." Tears began to fill my eyes.
"That is not how you speak to your elder Taeyun! Until, you start completing your work in class, your not allowed to go out with your friends after school and things don't improve, I'll see that you get extra lessons."
