Despite having a tight schedule, Taeyun always found a way to fit in extra curricular activities. In her school, she was allowed to chose anything she wanted to do, so Taeyun chose to do cheerleading.
After a having to audition, Taeyun was accepted and was placed on the cheerleading squad. For a good few months Taeyun was enjoying her new hobby. Not only was she good at cheerleading, she also was able make solid friends.
It was one practice that Taeyun feel off the pyramid that her fellow cheerleaders made. It was hard fall and was going to leave a bruise. But for Taeyun, this was least of her worries. That exact pyramid formation was going to used in a competition that was coming up. After being humiliated in front her coach and peers, Taeyun made the radical decision not to participate in the competition. Her excuse was going to be that her schedule was too pack to participate.
The boys liked to keep up with both maeknes schedule at school and was well aware of Taeyun's competition and knew how much she was looking forward to competing. So when they were told that Taeyun had dropped out, they were shocked but no one questioned her about it.
However a few weeks before the competition, Hosoek was walking going to the dance studio to practice some dancing when he saw Taeyun practicing her cheerleading routine. He was slightly confused but was silent until Taeyun was finished.
"You know Taetae, your quite good at cheerleading."
Taeyun quickly turned around, hand on heart in shock and a light blush was forming on her cheeks.
"Oppa! You scared me. And for your information, I'm terrible at cheerleading."
Hoseok raised an eyebrow and walked over to where Taeyun was now sitting.
"And why do you believe that?" Hoseok asked.
"When we were going through the routine and we came to the pyramid formation. I was the one that was supposed to be on top balancing on one leg and stretching that leg in the air. I lost my balance and fell of the pyramid, falling on the fall in front of my coach and other cheerleaders." Taeyun said as she hung her head low.
"Is that the reason why you don't want to compete?"
"Yes oppa. I don't want to embarrass myself in front of everyone, especially when they know I'm an idol."
"Oh Taeyun" Hosoek said while putting his arms around Taeyun. "There's this saying that it's harder to get back up once you stayed away for so long. If you stop because you fell, it will take longer for you to get back up and start again."
"But oppa, I can't deal with the embarrassment of being clumsy."
"Being clumsy is just you Tae. But that shouldn't put you at a disadvantage. They knew you was clumsy when you joined. They chose you because they saw potential in you."
Taeyun nodded and gave a small smug smile.
"I think you need to make a phone call to your coach and tell her you changed your mind. That our manger decided to clear that week." Taeyun looked up in shock when Hoseok reales the last detail.
Hoseok chuckled. "Yes I know you lied to your coach. I heard you practicing in front of the mirror a few days ago."
~~~Time Skip: Day of compeition~~~
Taeyun was now performing in front of hundreds of people. Everything was going perfect and Taeyun was confident. However it was coming to the pyramid formation and Taeyun fear was beginning was starting to show its ugly head.
Taeyun took a deep breath and looked to where BTS was sitting. She then heard someone cheering for her. It was Hoseok. Taeyun smiled and continued the routine with no problem at all.
Namjoon was sitting next to Hoseok and looked confused when Hoseok cheered for Taeyun so suddenly. It was as if Hoseok knew the routine. Namjoon raised an eyebrow.
Hoseok just shrugged. "She need a push in the right direction. She was lacking motivation."
