chapter six

"ToM.", you say his name as soon as you saw him standing by the door. He had to have heard what you had just told Shawn. That's when you realize what you had told Shawn, were you in fact in love with your best friend? You knew you loved him but never knew that you were in love with him until now, but how could he know that you were more in love with him than just a friend and did it even matter if you were in love with him because he would never love you back, he saw you like a sister nothing more. Shawn would never love you like you loved him and you knew it.

Tom turns around as soon as you call out his name, you get up a fast as you can, making sure not to wake up Shawn. You walked out of the room but not before turning around to make sure Shawn was okay.

"Tom.", you call his name again but he doesn't stop walking, "Please... wait."

You call after him again and this time he stops, which you weren't expecting, causing you to run into him.

"Oh s-sorry.", you mumble as you slowly pull away from him and he turns around to face you. You could see how he had cuts on his face from the fight he had with Shawn, but he had tried to clean them up... not well enough, though. Your hand automatically falls on his cheek as you look at his cuts closer. Tom doesn't say anything just looks at you as you look at his beautiful face.

"Does it hurt?", you whisper to him, softly running your finger over the cut on his lip. He hisses a little, making you pull your hand away from his face.

"A little.", Tom mumbles back to you as he takes hold of your wrist and brings it back to his cheek, looking you straight into your eyes.

"You love him?", he whispers to you, so quietly that you barely can hear him. You slowly look down at the floor, not wanting to lie to Tom or tell him the truth. The truth was that you loved your best friend more than a friend or a brother... you were in love with him.

"I-I do...", you whisper to him before looking back at him, "But just like a friend loves a friend."

You didn't want to hurt him even though he had hurt you twice now. How he had kissed Zendaya in front of you and how he had hit Shawn so hard that he was lying in the hospital... Should you want to forgive him like you wanted to?

"Do you have feelings for me?", Tom asks you bluntly. You weren't expecting him to ask you that so abruptly.

"Yes?", you answered with a question, "... and no? You hurt me, a lot.", You tell him as you let your hand fall from his cheek.

"I didn't mean to hurt Shawn, I promise you. It was in the heat of the moment.", Tom pulls you into his strong arms.

"I understand that. But what you did with Zendaya..." You were losing your voice, emotions taking over you but you couldn't push him away.

"What do you mean? What have I done with Z..." Tom stops talking. He brings his hands on your cheeks and makes you look him straight into his eyes. "I never, ever, kissed your roommate. That night... she kissed me.", Tom tells you. "I didn't kiss her back, why would I when I have you?", Tom's words make sense. But again why would Zendaya kiss him when she clearly knew that you two were kinda dating.

"I like you y/n. Like a lot. More than I have ever liked a girl before.", he said softly.

"You do?", you ask him, still shocked no boy had ever told you that they liked you. How a guy like him would like you was absurd. You were so normal... the boring girl where as he... he was the popular, bad boy. Was this all a game to him?

"I do.", he whispers before pulling you into a deep kiss. You never had had a kiss like this before. It felt amazing, like you were dreaming... it was perfect.

"Wow.", you mumble as you pull away from him.
