Chapter nine

"Your boyfriend?" Shawn's voice was low and filled with hurt like you had told him you hated him.
His face was red, his were red too, was he about to cry? Or was he just so mad that he looked like that, because he didn't have a reason to be sad about you dating Tom... but maybe angry a bit because he didn't want you to even be friends with Tom.

"Yes, my boyfriend." You tell him, you can't even think anything else before Shawn walks out of the room. It takes a second before you realize that he actually walked out on you so you quickly walk out after him. You don't see Shawn but your eyes meet another pair of brown eyes.

"Hey? Is everything okay?" Tom's voice echoes in the hallway. You just give him a tight lipped smile and nod your head.

"Yeah... everything is okay." you tell him before walking into this room, him right after you.

"What were you doing in Shawn's room?" He asked you, you don't know what you should tell him. Maybe he heard your fight you and Shawn just had.

"Just wanted to say hi to Shawn." You tell him as you climb back into Tom's bed. Pulling the covers over you. "I took your hoodie, hope you don't mind. It's a little cold in here." You tell him, trying to change the subject.

"Well if I'm being honest I love seeing you in my hoodie." He lets you know as he closes the door and comes to bed with you. Giving you the popcorn and putting the movie on you chose.
The two of you don't really talk, Tom tries time to time talk about something but you aren't really in the mood to talk to anyone nor even in a mood to watch a movie, even if it was one of your favorite movies. Your mind was running to Shawn, everything in the movie made you think of Shawn even when you are here in Tom's bed, in his arms, you are just thinking about Shawn. Where did he even go? Why did he run off, he never did that. He always wanted to talk about things but he just walked off, without saying anything.

"Did you see Shawn when you came upstairs?" You suddenly ask Tom, not even really thinking before asking.

"Yeah? I did, why?" Tom moves a little so he could face you better, resting his head on his arms as he starts to play with your hair.

"It's nothing... I was just wondering." You tell him before giving his cheek a kiss and trying back to the movie. You spent the rest of the day like that, watching a couple movies with Tom, but you didn't even remember anything happening in the movies because you were still thinking about Shawn.
You knew that he didn't come back because you would have heard him going into his room. You wanted to talk to him, ask him if he was okay and why was he fighting with Hailey about you.
That's when Hailey's words come back to you... she said that Shawn was in love with you. But if he was actually in love with you he wouldn't date Hailey, right? He would have told you that he had feelings for you a long time ago. Shawn would never have feelings for you because you were just his best friend, nothing more.

"I should probably start going home soon." You let Tom know as the movies end credits start rolling on the screen.

"Oh, already?" Tom sounded a little sad.

"Yeah, I'm tired." You tell him as you get up from the bed. Looking around the room. The sun was already setting and you would like to be home before dark.

"You could stay the night?" Tom's words surprise you a little, you two hadn't really done sleepovers.

"You want me to stay for the night?" You ask him, still letting the surprised look rest on your face. Tom gets up from the bed and pulls you into a kiss.

"Of course I want you to stay for the night." Tom whispers to you before kissing your nose. "I want to sleep next to you." he kisses your right cheek. "I want to wake up next to." he gives a kiss to your left cheek. "My beautiful girlfriend." He kisses your nose.
