Gerard wakes up, immediately noticing it's Monday. "Fuck." He mumbles. He gets out of bed and walks towards his mirror. He puts on black skinny jeans, a black shirt and his red flannel. He walks into Mikey's room. "H-hi Pete..." Gerard says, seeing Mikey's friend Pete. And then he sees Mikey, shirtless under the blanket. "Oh. You did that last night?" Gerard asks, knowing his brother wouldn't do that. "No!" Mikey responds. "I thought so. You guys get dressed and meet me in the car." Gerard says, walking out of the room. Mikey and Pete come out pretty quickly, and slip on their shoes. "Why are we always going to school with you?" Pete asks. "Well, you don't have a permit. And the bus doesn't come here." Gerard responds, laughing. "You're right." Mikey says. "Oh, yeah..." Pete responds, putting his seatbelt on.
They get to the school and Gerard parks the car, getting everyone out. Gerard walks his own way, slipping his headphones into his ears. "Hello." Gerard gets interrupted. "Hello there." Gerard responds. "I'm Lindsey, aren't you Gerard?" Lindsey says. "Yeah, I'm Gerard." He responds, shutting his locker. Lindsey smiles and says: "Bye Gerard, I have to go. It was nice to meet you." Gerard smiles, thinking someone might actually want to be his friend.
While walking through school Gerard sees a letter. He picks it up not thinking about it. During art class he grabs it out of his pocket and starts to read it. It reads: "Please take all the pain away from me. I don't know what to do anymore. Please take it away. Please. This world doesn't understand me, and they never will, and they don't even care. I'll be at the cliff on October 7th - Frank."
Frank? Who's Frank? Cliff? October 7th? Take the pain away?
"He's gonna kill himself. He's gonna jump off the cliff, that's his attempt." Gerard thinks to himself. "Miss Jackson, may I leave and go home? My stomach is really bothering me." Gerard asks. "Sure, just call Mikey's class and get him home." Miss. Jackson says. "Got it." Gerard responds, grabbing his backpack and running. Gerard calls Mikey. "Mikey, come to the front office." Gerard says. "Okay. Let me get Pete." Mikey says. 3 minutes later, Pete and Mikey arrive. Gerard grabs them and runs to the car. "Frank. Do you know a Frank?" Gerard immediately asks. "No." Mikey responds. "No...why?" Pete asks. Gerard hands him the letter. "Frank wants to commit suicide." Pete says. "I can tell by the way the letter is written." Pete adds. "Yeah. That's what I think too. I want to save Frank. On October 7th I'm gonna stay on the cliff, waiting for Frank." Gerard says. "Okay." Mikey says.
