Author's Note:
I'm re-writing the whole bloody thing, again. This is the... 3rd time now? Anyway, hopefully this will be better. A lot better.
For you people wondering why I am writing this, Its for a club on stardoll, ImmortalsHigh. Its awesome to. And this, its for a writing competition. So.. Enjoy.
Its been a long week, a long hard week. Doing training, long, hard training. Im good with my bow and arrow, I suppose. Living in forests, hunting for years, ever since I was 9. That would be 9 years.. Yes... Nine years.. Nine long years...
Im Lila, an eighteen year old girl from.. I dunno, to be perfectly honest, somewhere in England, wait, from District 2. I wish. I enjoy hunting, fighting, reading and writing. Being alone is one to, though, at Immortals High, it is virtually impossible most of the time. I'm not normal, Im like Harry Potter, no, Ron Weasley. I come from a family of, as they call it, "Pure Blooded" witches. I always say my life is not a life, its a bad-ish dream.
I live in a school, Immortals High. Before that, I lived in plenty of forests, me and Dad were always on the move. Being homeless, I guess it was the best thing. We both hunt. Its one of the things I loved to to with him, just spending time with him, shooting animals and cooking them. Me and Father always had an accurate aim, hitting it staight in the eye.
My story starts of when I was 6, living at home with my mother, father and my two sisters, Lorenna, who we all call Laurie, and Emelia, who we call Emmie. Now Im at Immortals High, I see my sisters again, but little of my father. I suppose its a good thing, since I am scared to see him now, after falling for a demon when he said, 'Never trust a demon.' And I trusted him and fell in love with this demon, who fell for me aswell. But that's over, fortunatly, before Dad whipped my ass.
~*~*~*~
There was the two of us, laying on the edge of the brook. One had dark, flowing sandy hair with illuminious blue eyes. That was me. The other had gorgeous bronze locks that flew in waves down, just past her shoulders. She had chocolate brown eyes and very pale skin, like mine.
"Laurie, your gonna fall in!" I said, smiling. "I dare you!" The brook isn't deep, the water is about a five centemeters deep.
"No!" The younger one grinned. "Not unless you do." That was the last thing I wanted her to ask. But I do it. I roll into the water, soaking my clothes and hair. "Awesome! My turn!"
Laurie rolls into the water, just as I did. Her brunette hair looks black, and her eyes are full of excitement. "What do you think Mum is gonna do?" Her grin fades, her eyes turn dull.
"Urm, send us to bed in wet clothes?"
"There is that chance. Maybe ignore it?"
"I wish." We sit in the water. "Well, lets stay in the sun and dry of." I nod and we climb out the water. My teeth chatter from cold, the wind seems more.. You know, windy.
We sit on the bark near the brook. "Laurie... You know Mum, do you think she'll notice if we have been wet and all?"
"Urm.. Um.." She thinks hard. "Yes.." She comes out with after a few, long seconds. "She does that magic thing, doesn't she?"
"Yes, well..." I trail of.
We bored girls are suddenly startled by voices. We hid behind a tree and wait. A large clan of people are walking into the heart of the woods. Me and Laurie run out and follow them. They don't see us, but we try to be as loud as we can, breaking sticks and all that.
"Enya did say that, Flavia. You are very right." Says a man. The girl named Flavia smiles.
"Thank you, Arac." She says. "Didn't she also say about sending her boyfriend person and her oldest daughter out?"
"Yes, she did. Though I strongly disagree. They have been together, since when? Lila is 6 now, that would be 7 years. They had been together for a year when Lila was born." Laurie is staring at me and we stop.
"Does that guy mean you?"
"I'd hate to think it." We catch up with the gang of people. Flavia is speeking again.
"What about their youngest daughter, Emily or whatever her name is. Emmie?"
"Emelia Andrews, I don't know." Says a guy with blond waves that fall over his head.
"Hunter, Arac, we have to stop Enya. Emelia will end up.. You know..." She trails of, thinking for words. "Not knowing her sister. And Lorenna, she'll miss Lila, they are so close."
"It is us they are talking about." Laurie is gripping my hand, I squeeze hers back.
"Flavia, calm down. I will stop Enya." He rolls up his sleeve and taps a thing, I don't know what it is. It's strapped to his arm. "Enya, don't make Martin leave. He is a great guy, you just need to treat him better."
"Arac! I don't like him! My mother and father, as well as Martin's mother forced us into this love situation, which neither of us liked." My mother's voice is comming out of the other side of this strange device.
"Lil, lets go back." Laurie is shaking with fear.
"OK," We run back to our small house. We smile, trying to hide fear. They don't know that we heard any of this. A bell rinds and our mother's voice shouts.
"Dinner time." Me and Laurie run to the table. Today's tea is bangers and mash as Father calls it. Sausages and mash basically. I scoff it down, so does Laurie. We both run of to bed after a long day.
Emmie's cries keep my awake at night, soon she settles down. Then Laurie gives a shrill scream and I run into her room. She is sound asleep. I shake her, "Laurie?" No answer. I guess I shall leave her be.
I walk into my room and sit down on my hard bed. What did those people mean, Flavia, Arac and Hunter? Was it me they were talking about? I know my parents don't exactly get on, but they stay calm around each other.
I slip into my covers and pull them tight around me, falling into an easy sleep.
When the morning comes, I find that I have only my hunting gear for when I am older in my wardrobe. I walk downstairs, "Dad, where is my clothes?" He looks at me, confused.
"Say that again?"
"There is no clothes in my wardrobe."
Dad rushes upstairs and comes down with a pair of tight fitting jeans, a white top and a jacket. I quickly dress.
Mother comes rushing downstairs with suitcases. Emmie is in her arms. Laurie comes from the kitchen. "Hey Laurie."
"I wouldn't be happy," Mum says. I roll my eyes.
"Hey Lila."
Mum starts. "Lila, your of with that pathetic father of yours."
"But! What about Laurie?"
"Lorenna will be fine as she is. Now go!"
Dad picks me up, takes the suitcases and leaves. "Laurie!" I scream
I hear Laurie shouting back. "Lila!"
After a lot of walking, it starts raining. There is an old lady in the middle of the street. "Trying to kidnap the poor child?" She croaks.
"Look, she's my kid."
"Coward."
"How? I'm not scared of you or anything. And besides, she is my child," The old lady shakes her head.
"Liar. She lives with young Enya down the street."
Father lets out a sigh, "Yeah, she's my kid to. I used to live with that person." Father pushes the old woman over. "I best be going he says."
Father walks of, the rain is getting heavier. We stop after hours at a forest...
