AURORA gently traced her thumb on the gem of the crown. Though she has been crowned Queen for years now, she still felt out of place as a Queen of a kingdom she did not grow up in.

The crown was gold with sparkling jewels all over. It was beautiful, but it was a constant reminder to Aurora.

With all her courage she wrapped her fingers around the crown and gently placed it on her head. She looked in the mirror, taking in the sight. She looked the same but didn't. Then again she was younger.

There was knock at the door, "Your Majesty, they are all waiting."

Without another word, Aurora made her way to the Great Hall where dinner took place. She sat next to King Phillip and dinner began. Kings and Queens from other kingdoms came to join them for dinner.

Talking filled the room, along with forks clanging against plates.

No one but Aurora noticed with one of the servants entered through the door and crossed the room with an anxious look. He stopped at the King and whispered something urgent to him.

The Phillip rose from his chair, "Excuse me." He sent one last smile to Aurora then left the room with the servant without another word. He never came back to dinner.

After everyone was done eating, Aurora slipped away to Phillip while everyone was socializing. He was in the Throne Room with another man.

Aurora regretted stepping into the room, when she did both of their heads turned to her and their conversation fell silent. She froze to the spot she stood in, embarrassed for interrupting their conversation.

"Aurora," Phillip spoke up, as surprised to see her, "is the dinner over already?"

"No," Aurora quickly explained herself, "you didn't return to the dinner... and I was just coming to check on you-- to see if you were alright."

Phillip flashed a kind smile, "Thank you, everything is just fine. But I was waiting to give you the news until after the dinner."

"News?" Aurora asked, "concerning what?"

"We were invited to the Kingdom of Rendanad."
