Phillip told himself that he was ready when he pulled his sword out. He knew Henry had never fought in a day of his life, let alone a magical being, so he was the one Phillip chose to get the Queens out.
“Henry, get them out!”
He knew exactly what he meant and instantly pushed them out the door.
Ferdinand stood uneasily, clutching his sword and looking back and forth at the witch and Phillip. Adam kept his eyes on Threvina and stood ready. Eric and Aladdin stood ready with nervous looks.
Threvina smiled and her eyes lit up with a glowing green, “let's get this over with.”
“She disappeared from the spot she stood in, then reappeared between Aladdin and Eric, throwing them to either side of the room. Adam acted fast and swung his sword at Threvina’s head.
The blade stopped just centimeters from Threvina’s face, and Adam’s sword froze in place.
She laughed, “nice try, cursed child.” With that Adam went flying back into a wall, slamming into a banner and knocking it off the wall. The banner fell on top of Adam, covering up as he fell to the ground.
Threvina turned to Phillip and slowly came closer to him, “Am I as wicked as Maleficent?”
Phillip didn't answer, she stood with his sword ready but wasn't sure what he was going to do with it.
“Don't worry,” Thevina growled through a smile, “I won't turn into a dragon.”
She threw her hands up into the air and flames roared from her palms. “HAND OVER THE BOOK OF ASHBECK,” she blowed over the fire. Just then Ariel jumped in front of Phillip holding something out in her hand. In the corner of his eye, Phillip saw Belle stopping in the doorway with the look of horror.
But the flames immediately died and Threvina’s eyes turned black. She took in a sharp breath and swirled into flames and disappeared.
“ADAM,” Belle cried and ran to help him out of the banner, she gasped as she stood and stiffened.
Cinderella let out a scream as the banner fell off the hideous beast.
Phillip turned his sword on the monster, and Belle jumped in front of him with tears in her eyes.
“NO, DON’T,” she held out her hand protectively, “IT'S ADAM, it's Adam.”
