JASMINE?” a voice called her name. She looked up to see Aladdin entering the throne room. She sat on the steps to their thrones, with her tiger, Rajah,  lying by her side.

“I’m here,” she answered, gently stroking Rajah.

Aladdin made his way across the room and stopped at the bottom of the stairs in front of her, “there you are.”

“Were you looking for me?”

“Every minute you’re not around,” he sat down on the step just below hers, and Jasmine couldn’t help but stare at the sun shining through his hair. It gave it a reddish look, Jasmine almost wanted to reach out and touch it, but she resisted and smiled to herself.

He must have sensed the smile, because he turned around and smiled back.

The front door to castle swung open and Aladdin whipped around and stood. One of his guards rushed in.

“Your majesty,” he said, breathless as if he ran in hurry, “a horse rides in from the South West , a messenger.”

“Messenger?” Aladdin said, confused, “let him in.”

“Yes, Sultan,” the guard  turned and hurried out the door.

Jasmine stood and made her way up the rest to her throne with Aladdin.

“Who do you think it might be from?”

“I have no idea,” Aladdin admitted, “let’s just hope its good news.”

They waited quietly until the doors opened and a man covered in red sand stepped in. he had came along way.
