I dance on nettles
I've been set alight
And now I will not settle
I need direction
I need validation
I'm running, I'm running
With no destination
Heed their warnings
Don't turn a blind eye
I am the darkness
That makes up the sky
Falling to pieces
When will I learn
What happens the day
That I crash and burn
I stomp, I scream
I snap, but still
They cannot hear me
Nobody will
You stare at me
Through prison bars
My face is streaked
With shooting stars
I'm held together
By knotted rope
I wait and I beg
With undeserved hope
You hand me the truth
A bit sharp round the edge
So you take the wheel
And drive us off a ledge
Face the music
I know I can't hide
It's not okay
You can't let this slide
I understand
No hard feelings now
You'll thank me later
End with a bow
A/N: First bit of magic for you guys! This is one that I'd written recently I and liked the feel of it, so I thought you'd like it too. I've been doing lots of work behind the scenes, so there's plenty of stuff for you guys. I'm still deciding whether I'll upload it all at once or stretch it out over a few days. Again, we're seeing where this goes together.
