Enigma

I am a puzzle missing pieces,
Disassembled, disrepair.
I'm slipping, sliding, fragments breaking,
Until I crash without a care.
Who knew completion
Could feel this far out of reach.
My words deflecting, bouncing off you
As you hear my silent speech.

I am a tiger, self appointed,
Self inflicted by self doubt.
My stripes are dripping on the inside,
Now I'm dripping inside out.
This isn't what I want,
I heard them as they wept.
Is it too much to ask, for
One more secret kept?

I am an artwork on display
A masterpiece of blood.
Evidence is washed away
As I'm drowned in the flood.
Painted, plastered against
The lonely backdrop
Compulsion, object, work in progress,
I don't know how to stop.

I am a guessing game,
I'll hold up the charade.
You cannot see me here
Behind the barricade.
Another lost cause,
Amongst all the background noise.
From a distance you can't spot me,
Just an echo without a voice.

A/N: Three uploads back to back? Who do I think I am? :D
It's been a few days since I last published because I wasn't sure in what order I wanted to upload these in. I've been thinking a lot about how I wanted to upload them, and have been making a few edits here and there. I told you I've been working behind the scenes!
I've also been busy with study and schoolwork, getting to the business end of high school, so wish me luck with that!
So this poem is a very similar situation to 'This Is', where I've been working on it for a long time, and have decided to split it into more than one poem. This one was quite difficult to put together, but I'm happy with this end result. I hope you guys are too. Have a lovely day, fellow wattpadians!
