It's been a week since Dinah and I shared our first kiss and things have definitely changed between us. We've became a lot closer than we were before and it's just been nice to have her around now.

Don't get me wrong I loved having her around before but there was tension between us. I noticed it for a while and when we kissed it went away. It was like we were staring fresh and it just felt so good!

"Wow Ms Hamilton you seem very happy today." My assistant Ally says.

I smiled as I glanced at her. "Yeah I am. Things between me and Dinah have been going good." I said. Ally smiles "well I'm really happy for you Ma'am." She said. However before I could thank her a voice stops me and I'm shocked by what I heard.

"Baby do you have any lunch plans?" Normani asked.

My eyes grew wide as I looked between them, making their eyes grew wide. "Hold up, you guys are dating?" I asked. Normani smiles softly as she took Ally's hand in hers. "Yeah. We ran into each other a couple of times before I officially started working here and the minute I started working here things just took off and we started dating." She tells me. I looked between both of them and raised an eyebrow making them tense up. "I have no problem with you guys dating. However you have to keep it professional while working." I told them. The immediately nodded. "Yes ma'am."

As I was sitting in the meeting I noticed that my best worker Ashley (or Halsey as she likes to be called) was extremely upset and unfocused. Standing up I let out a soft sigh as I made my way over to her. "Ash can I talk to you please?" I asked. She nodded and quickly followed behind me.

"Yes boss?" She asked dully.

I frowned "is everything ok? Have I done something?" I asked quickly when I remembered our past history together. She shook her head. "Of course not. You've been absolutely wonderful and I promise what we had will never affect that." She told me honestly. "So what's up?" I asked. Ashley frowns "Lani and I were supposed to go out Friday and she ghosted me. I waited for two hours and she never showed." She tells me. I nodded as I held her hand. "I promise I'll talk to her. Let her know that she really messed up." I said. Ashley smiles "thanks Lo!" She said as she pulled me in to a tight hug. I grinned happily as I hugged her back. "You're welcome Ash."

I was talking to my employees about what we should change for the upcoming season when Ally came in with a distraught look on her face. "Ma'am your mother in law is on the phone. She says it's important." She tells me. I nodded and excused myself before taking the call. "Hello?" I asked. "Lauren it's Charlene. We were at the park she was playing on the swings and I'm not exactly sure what happened but she swung really high and fell off hitting her head pretty hard on the ground. I'm taking her to the hospital right now." Andrea told me. My jaw dropped and with a very small voice I ended the meeting early and headed towards the hospital. Please let her be ok.

Sitting in the waiting room I was close to freaking out because I had no idea if my daughter was going to be ok. I just need her to be ok because I just can't lose her. That little girl is my entire world.

"What's on your mind LoLo?" Dinah asked gently.

I held her hand in mine and rested my head on her shoulder as tears ran down my face. "Everything! I'm just so worried about her. I need her to be ok Dinah. I really do!" I cried. Dinah held me close and kissed the top of my head. "It's ok babe. Everything's going to be fine we just have to think positive." She tells me. I nodded as I held on to her. I just really needed her comfort right now.

"Charlene Hamilton?" The doctor called out.

I quickly stood up. "Yes is everything ok?" I asked quickly. "She had a pretty bad cut on her forehead that we had to stitch up but other than that everything is fine." The doctor tells me. I nodded "can I see her now?" I asked. "Of course. She's in room seven twenty-seven." I quickly thanked him before running down the hall and straight towards her room.

"Mama!" Charlie said when she saw me.

I smiled at her as I sat down next to her. "Hey baby, how are you feeling?" I asked softly. Charlie smiled "I better now." She said. "Do we leave now?" She asked. I nodded and talked to the doctor about checking her out. He made me sign a few papers and he gave me some ointment for her cut so it wouldn't get infected.

As we were leaving the hospital Dinah held my hand as she carried Charlie in her arms. "Would you like me to continue the meeting when I go back to the office?" Normani asked. I shook my head. "No we'll finish tomorrow." I told her. Normani nodded and said her goodbyes as we went our separate ways.

Arriving home Charlie ran off to go play and Dinah was sitting in my room with me as I changed out of my work clothes and into something more comfortable. "What happened to your back Lo?" Dinah asked me. I sighed when I realized what she was talking about. "Uh when I was a child my mother's husband at the time would sexually and physically abuse me. This particular moment he had slammed me up against the wall, and there was this sharp piece sticking out and it cut me deep. He forcefully stitched me up which is why I have a scar." I told her.

Standing up from the bed Dinah stood behind me and gently wrapped her arms around my waist as she held me close. "You're so beautiful Lauren. You really are." She tells me. I blushed as I turned to face her and without saying anything I pressed my lips gently against hers. I don't know why but it just felt right. Kissing her in this moment felt right to me. Placing her hands on my hips she pulled me close to her as she deepens the kiss a little. I wrapped my arms around her as I basically pushed my body up against hers and continued the make out session that we were starting.

"Lauren are you here?"

Hearing her voice Dinah and I quickly pulled away as my door was pushed open. "Yes Mani?" I asked when Normani walks in. She smiles "Ally wanted to know if we could take Charlie to the movies? We invited her friend but they cancelled last minute and we have an extra ticket." She explains. "What movie?" I asked. "Averages Endgame." She answered. I thought for a second before nodding in agreement. "She can go." I said. Normani smiles and thanked me before running off to go get Charlie.

"Have you and Mani always been close?" Dinah asked.

I laughed and immediately shook my head. "Absolutely not! Back in high school she hated me and I had no idea why," I shook my head. "She never really liked my cheer squad and to be honest I wasn't a fan of her dance team. However we were both too quick to judge. I thought she was heartless and just downright evil. And she thought I was a stuck up know it all." I told her. "So how did you guys overcome your differences?" Dinah asked. I smiled at the memory. "Towards the end of the school year the school always had this last day of school fun day where you basically just goofed off and had fun, if your work was done of course. Anyway Mani and I got paired up to come up with the theme," I laughed a little at the memory. "At first it was hard because we're both stubborn and didn't want to cave. However after a while we started to warm up to each other and actually started talking. We found out we had a lot more in common than we originally had thought. We've been friends ever since." I said.

Dinah played with my fingers as she smiled at my story. "Well you guys have definitely come a long way since high school." She teased. I chuckled softly. "Yeah, we did."
