I was sitting on the couch with a look of absolutely horror on my face when I got a visit from child protection services. They were informed by an ex employee of mine that I have been abusive towards Charlene and that she was in danger.

It's been months since I fired Lucy because of what she did but now she's back and trying to pin this all on me even though I have proof of her being abusive. I don't want to go to court but it looks like I'm going to have to in order to get this cleared.

"Ms Hamilton I really hope you have a good lawyer." Lucy said.

I just shook my head at her. "Why are you doing this Lucy? It's been months." I said. Lucy glared at me as a bitter laugh left her lips. "You accusing me of abuse ruined my reputation. Since you're well respected in this community people fired me and told me that they no longer trusted me with their children." She was fuming as she spoke. "You single handedly ruin my whole career! I couldn't get another job, I'm in debt to the bank because of the loans I needed to pay off my court fees! You ruined me!" She yells.

I signed "Lucy, I didn't ruin your career. You did. You did by being abusive towards my child and I refuse to apologize for taking action and protecting my daughter." I told her. "So if you want to take me to court fine. I have a great lawyer." Lucy glared at me "see you in court Ms Hamilton."

Closing the door I released an annoyed huff as I made my way back to the living area. "Lo are you ok?" Dinah asked. I shook my head. "No Lucy is taking me to court over what happened with Charlene." I said. A shocked expression made its way to her face as she looks at me. "What are you planning on doing? Are you going to sue?" She asked.

I shook my head. "No. I think I'm just going to show up, provide evidence and then see what happens." I told her. Dinah nodded "would you like me to go with you?" She asked. I smiled a little as I nodded my head. "Yeah, that would be great."

The days following up to court I made sure to get every piece of evidence that I could fine to prove that I wasn't making this up or lying about what she did. I even have Charlene's medical records from when I had to take her to the hospital because of her injured arm.

"Just because you brought your popstar lover doesn't mean you're going to win." Lucy snidely says.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at her. "I brought Dinah here for support. Not sympathy." I said. Lucy scuffed "oh please we all know what you're trying to do. You're trying to act all innocent when we all know you're not." She said. I looked at her strangely but choose to ignore what she was saying because I'm pretty sure it's nothing.

Standing in the court room I listened as Lucy went on and on about how horrible of a boss I was to her. She told the court how abusive I was towards her and none of it was true. I have always been nice to Lucy and treated her basically like family.

"One time I was running late and when I arrived she told me that she would not be paying for the time that I worked that day." Lucy lies again.

The judge nodded and turned to me. "Is that true Ms Hamilton?" He asked. I shook my head. "Yes it is true that she was running late, but I did not deduct from me pay. She got paid in full at the end of the week. I have proof." I said as I handed over my bank statement.

He looked over it and raised an eyebrow at her. "From what I can see it looks like Ms Hamilton paid you in full for your time." He said. "So what do you have to say Ms Vives?" Lucy bit her lip as she looked around but quickly composed herself. "The night I went to cash the check I could only take out two hundred and fifty of it. The other four hundred would not transfer." She said.

"Do you have proof of that?" He asked.

She shook her head. "No Sir." She said. The judge sighed. "Well without evidence I have to rule in favor of Ms Hamilton." He said before dismissing us. I thanked him and gathered up my things before leaving the court room. As we left I could tell that Lucy was mad that she lost but she had no evidence. So I don't feel bad. Oh well.

Arriving back at home I was immediately attacked by Charlie jumping all over me and hugging me. "Mama you're back!" She said. I laughed softly as I hugged her. "Yes baby. Have you eaten?" I asked. Charlie shook her head. "No grandma's making lunch now." She said. I nodded and walked into the kitchen but was surprised when I didn't see Andrea there.

"Andrea." I called out as I put Charlie down.

Walking around the island I gasped when I saw her passed out on the floor with food all around her. With shaky hands I called nine one one. "Yes I need an ambulance. My mother in law has fainted."
