Chapter 4

~(Y/N)'s Pov~

"Yagami...do you remember what happened earlier today...when our hands touched..?" I was really hoping that he did remember, I don't want to look stupid. But I was also hoping that it was just my imagination, I then see yagami give me a glare. I was taken aback by his behavior, I stepped away from him slightly. "Y-yagami?" He wasn't really responding, but I had a feeling that he wasn't glaring at me—more like to someone else. I turn around to see if there was anyone behind me, but no one was their. "Hey yagami!" It was then he snaps back to reality and that glare was finally off his face. "Oh sorry (l/n), I was just um..." He starts rubbing the back of his head, I give him a questioning look.

"It's fine, but are you gonna answer my question?" Yagami looked down at my hand, I guess he was curious too. "Yagami, I want to touch your hand again..." I see yagami move his hand in front of him, I also move my hand to grab his. I know that we both wanted to see if it would happen again....We were so close till, "WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING!" I scream and yagami got surprised, we quickly collected our selfs and turn around to find a teacher really pissed off. "YOU TWO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CLEANING!" I bow and kept saying sorry to the teacher but yagami just stood there. "Get cleaning now!" I hurry up to the chock-board and grab an eraser, i then started to erase the board. I think yagami was arranging the desks.

~Time Skip~

Me and yagami we're finally done cleaning all the classrooms on this floor, I was really annoyed that I couldn't relax today. I grab my bag and make sure everything was in there, it's not that I don't trust yagami but who knows—he could be one of those people that steals things from other people's bag. "Well I'm off" I see yagami look at me and give me a smile, "Alright see you tomor-" Something cut him off but it wasn't me, he was looking at something. My hand. I also was looking at his hand, we both saw the red thread connected together. We didn't even touch each other and it was showing, I couldn't believe it. I wanted this whole day to be a dream...but it's not, I was gonna have to face this head on.

"(L/N)..."

"Yagami..."

We looked at each other in the eyes, I knew what we both were gonna say. Just by the way we were looking at each other...I guess his parents told him about the thread too. Then we both said this at the same time....

"Yagami...!"

"(L/N)....!"

"Your my...!"

"Soulmate!?"

I was walking home in the rain, I didn't think it would rain today so I didn't bother to bring my umbrella. Oh yea, did I mention that yagami was walking with me? Probably not. We both were really surprised about that soulmate thing, I mean I barley know the guy and in one day I find out that he's my soulmate. "Thanks for walking with me yagami..." I was kinda embarrassed, but that's normal right? Especially when you finally meet your soulmate for the first time and already walking home together. To be honest I thought it was a little weird but I didn't know how yagami felt so I didn't say anything. "Yagami-" He accidentally cut me off. "You can just call me light"

At first I was hesitant but I then gave him an awkward smile. "Okay...light, this whole thing might be confusing..." I was struggling with my words, I didn't know what to say. It was hard to process that he was my soulmate. I think he saw me struggling with my words though, "Hey, it's not that confusing and if you think this will change everything then your wrong" Was I really wrong? We then stop, mostly because I go a separate way and I kinda didn't want him to know what I live. "Ya—I mean light, I can find my way here" He gives me another smile, "You sure?" I nod and also give him a reassuring smile. "Well alright, (y/n)"
