Earth was a wreck. Just as you remembered it to be.  But last time, you didn't have galra surrounding the planets.  You sigh shakily and watch as team Voltron wad reunited with their families.  All for Hunk.  You walk towards him after he talked to the Commander. You set a hand on his shoulder.  "We're getting them back, Hunk." You say softly. 

He looks towards you, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. You reach up, brushing the stray tear from his eyes. 

He smiled faintly.  "It's good to have you back, _____. We missed you." He hugs you tightly and you hug him back gently.  "I missed you too, buddy.  The galaxy wasn't the same without all of you." You whisper. He squeezed you a little more and you chuckled, patting his back affectionately. It wad nice being back with Voltron, even if it bring back some bitter memories.

The group gathers around you and you look at all of them. Shiro gives you a faint nod and you nod in reply, glad to have the father figure of the group back in the game.  You look around and Keith offers you a hand.  You break from your hug with Hunk and walk towards him, taking his hand.  But instead of shaking your hand, he pulls you into a tight hug.

"I'm... So sorry..." He whispers, and you smile faintly.  "Don't worry about it, Mullet." You pulled away and inspect him. "Wait.  When did you get taller then me?" You grumbled and the group gives a loud laugh.  You weren't sure what was so funny but you sighed and smiled.  The only one who didn't seem happy with you being back was Allura.  You and her seemed have a tense moment of silence before she broke and offered you a begrudgingly smile.  You offered a tight nod before walking to the commander.  He seemed surprised by your appearance. You had grown after all, and your eyes had shifted, giving them a kaleidoscope appearance with your original eye color being the most dominant color. You salute and he salutes in reply. 

"Good to see you again, Cadet." He says, grasping your hand in a firm handshake.  You nod before looking at Voltron. "A lot has changed in the past four years since Voltron disappeared. The Galra split and began to take over planets again.  Including our own.  I'm going to go on Patrol.  Holt.  Could you give them a briefing? I'm going on a patrol." You say, walking past the groups.  You needed to be careful. 

You sigh as you patrol the borders.  Earth knew of your presence.  But since you couldn't risk your home, you were more of a daunting presence then comforting.  You such and shake your head, no more wandering thoughts. You needed to focus.

"_____." You look up and your eyes widen.  "Xavier. What- What are you doing here? How are you here?" You ask, turning fully towards him. He chuckles quietly and shakes his head.  "That's my secret.  But.  We need to talk." He said slowly.

You stated at him in horror.  "What do you mean, 'Alternate Universe's?" what are you saying?"

"I'm saying Haggar..  Minerva.  Is trying to break the barriers between realities.  And if she is successful. Our world could crumble as we know it."

"I have to warn Voltron." You say, beginning to walk back to the base.  He shakes his head. "You mustn't.  One task at a time.  Please. Save your home first."

You nod solemnly before he smiles.  "Alright.  Now.  Go save your home." He says gently. With that he disappeared.

You look at the ground, clenching your fists. You walk back to the base and find Commander Iverson. he looks up when he sees you and starts in surprise by the dark look on your face.

"You're going to need these." You say, offering blue prints, making the map with your ability.  "Here." He takes it before you walk towards the weapons deck, taking a blaster.

"And where are you going?"  He asks, chasing after you.  You look at him and your eyes narrow. 

"I'm going to take out a few ships." You growl in reply.  You walk outside again and breathe in the warm desert air.  Energy seems to crackle around you as you seem to light up with energy.  You soar into the air and looks at the Galran ships.  Your hands burst into flames as you shoot towards the ships.  You let out a yell of fury and attack, The fired, but by the time some of them even had their cannons ready, you blew the ship up. 

But... A split hesitation, something fatal to a human, and you were hit with a plasma cannon.  You shrieked in pain as it hit your back.  You fall to the Earth, your body screaming in pain as you land on the ground with a loud thud, creating a crater.  You whimper in pain, slowly crawling out of the hole, the entire back of your suit in shreds, you back blistered and an angry red.  Third degree burns littered your back and arms.  You manage to make it back to the base, being instantly taken to the medics. 

Everything was a blur.  There was loud shouting, you could faintly hear Lance yelling, your adopted mother crying, Veronica grasping your hand.  Voltron was bolting towards you and Shiro was telling you something, but you could barely hear him.  You shut your eyes, a ringing in your ears before the world goes dark.

You wake up to soft beeping.  You're on your stomach, an IV latched to your tricep. You unable sharply when you try to move, your back screaming at you. You whimper in pain and look around carefully. 

"Lance?" You call softly and there's a gasp, a loud thud and a cry of pain, making you bolt up, pain seating through your body as you look at the ground.  Lance scrambled up again and looked at you with worry and concern.  You settle back into the bed, whimpering in pain.  "What happened?" You mutter, "A-after I crashed?"

"You passed out when we were carrying you to the medic room... Multiple burns.  You... You can't fight for a good while... Not until you heal." He says quietly. 

You feel your heart shatter.  "So you'll be fighting... Without me..." You whisper.  He nods slowly. "I'm sorry, sis..." He gently brushed some hair from your face.  You sigh. "It had to be done." You whisper.

He nods.  The moment was interrupted by Keith.  "Lance... It's time to go..." He says quietly.  Lance nods.  "I'll... I'll be there in a sec." He says quietly.

"Go." You say quietly.  "Be safe, okay?" You offer him a broken smile.  He could see it in your eyes, but he didn't say anything.  "I'm come back, Hermana." He says quietly. 

"I know you will." You reply, and he gently places his hand on your head, avoiding your burns.  With that, he left.

And that's when you broke down to tears.
