Nina Dobrev (an ocean advocate) is also an Ocean Ambassador, dedicated to helping save the ocean. To honour the announcement, Dobrev announced that she would be aiming her efforts at protecting the world's sharks.
What threats do sharks face? It is vitally important that the ocean and all its animals are protected and looked after. Sharks in particular face an immense threat from humans. This comes mainly from the horrible reputation that has been given to them by the media, as well as the high demand for Shark Fins in the fin trade.
Sharks are highly endangered as an complete result of HUMAN activities and their impacts on the marine ecosystem. As of right now, the main shark threats are:
