Jennie and Rosé ran to the bleachers and sat down. The group looked at them and Irene let out a scoff.

"What happened to texting me, Jennie?" she glared at the girl.

"I—"

"It's my fault," Rosé said. "I was bothering her and distracted her."

"If you're gonna start ignoring me because you're in a relationship, this friend thing isn't gonna work out," Irene looked at Jennie. "Which also means this host family thing won't work out, which means you'll be going back to Korea."

"Is that a threat?" Jennie chuckled.

Irene ignored her and turned back around to watch the game. Jennie rolled her eyes and put her head on Rosé's shoulder.

"She didn't mean that," Rosé whispered, grabbing the girl's hand. "She's upset."

"I didn't even do anything," Jennie mumbled.

"Just watch the game," the pink-haired girl rubbing circles on the back of Jennie's hand. "It's okay."

Jennie let out a sigh as she watched the game. Rosé and Irene made eye contact. The dark haired girl winked and Rosé smiled.

The group sat in a comfortable silence, only speaking when the team made a dumb play. It was like this until half time.

"Hey, Jennie," Rosé said.

Jennie looked at her.

"Don't you want to get popcorn from the concession stand?"

"No," Jennie said, laying her head back on Rosé's shoulder.

"Well, you're going to anyway. Go," the older girl handed Jennie a dollar.

"But the line is so long," Jennie whined, taking the money.

"It's not that long," Rosé said as the girl walked off.

"Okay," Irene said as soon as Jennie was out of earshot. "Is everything set up?"

"Yep," Chan said. "Sana said she has everything ready."

"I'm just confused on why we got our rival school to do it for us and not our actual school," Taeyong said.

"Because we hate our school, sweetheart," Ten gave him a pat on his shoulder.

"I'm so excited," Rosé squealed.

"Excited for what?" Jennie walked up to the group with a bag of popcorn.

"The halftime show," the older girl half lied.

"Our girls already performed for halftime."

"Oh, I know."

Jennie furrowed her eyebrows. She looked at Chan who shrugged. The other school's cheer team, Sana's cheer team, went to the middle of the field and their dance music started playing.

"Why is there a banner in front of them?" Jennie asked as she leaned back on Rosé. "And why are they facing us instead of their school?"

"Cheerleaders don't have brain cells, Jennie," Taeyong said.

"Your girlfriend is literally the cheer captain," Rosé looked at the boy.

"I know."

"Well," Seulgi pursed her lips together.

Near the end of the dance while son girls were tumbling, two girls went to the banner and lifted it up. Jennie looked at it and furrowed her brows.

"생일 축하합니다?" she said to herself, still confused.

It only took a few seconds for her to realize it was for her. She pouted as tears sprung to her eyes.

"Really?" she looked back at the group.

"She's crying?" Irene got up from her seat and gave the girl a hug. "Happy birthday, J."

"Group hug!" Lucas yelled.

Their group got up and all gave Jennie a hug. After the game they all went to eat dinner, which is when they sang happy birthday to Jennie in Korean. Their pronunciation was terrible, and she told them that, but it was the thought that counted. She thanked them all for the great night and was going home with Rosé.

"I can't believe Irene got me with that fake argument," Jennie said as they got in the car.

"She's a damn good actress. I even believed it was real for a second," Rosé laughed as she left the restaurant's parking lot.

"Were our arguments fake too?" Jennie asked.

Rosé looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Hm?"

"Were our arguments fake?"

"If you want them to be, then yes, baby. They were fake."

Jennie smiled and let out a sigh. "I like that," she said.

"Like what?"

"When you call me baby," the younger girl said. "It has a nice ring to it."

"Well, I'll keep calling you that then," Rosé said. "Speaking of which..."

Jennie looked at the girl as she took a velvet box out of the middle compartment.

"What is—"

"It's not a ring," Rosé shook her head. "Never that. Just open it. It's a birthday present."

Jennie opened the box and looked at Rosé. "You didn't have to get me this," she shook her head as she took out a gold necklace with her name on it.

"Oh, but I wanted to," Rosé said.

"But why?"

"Because I lo–like you," the pink-haired girl said. "Think of it as my way of saying 'I want to be in a relationship with you.'"

"Hm?" Jennie looked at her.

"I want to be in a relationship with you."

"Are you sure?" Jennie looked around. "I don't know, I'm pretty clingy. Plus, I move a lot."

"Jennie, just say yes," Rosé rolled her eyes as she went into her garage.

"Yes," Jennie smiled.

Rosé got out of car and opened Jennie's car door for her. Jennie got out of the car and smiled.

"Great," Rosé said before connecting their lips.

Jennie closed the car door and placed her hands on Rosé's chest. The older girl pulled away.

"I tend to escalate things very fast—"

"Oh, great, so do I," Jennie said before kissing her once again.

Rosé grabbed Jennie's legs and wrapped them around her waist. She carried her into her room and put her on her bed. She looked her in the eyes and gave her a small smile.

"Happy birthday, baby."
