It was now a new week, two days after the party, and Jennie was still upset. She didn't even bother to tell her she was leaving. Hell, she wouldn't even respond to texts.
"Stop stressing, Jennie," Irene said as they were riding to school. "It's high school."
"Who does that, though?" Jennie asked, obviously upset. "Who fucks their ex, leaves in the middle of the night, then doesn't text them back?"
"High schoolers," the older girl laughed. "She panicked."
"That's such a lil bitch thing to do, though."
"Well, Roseanne is a lil bitch."
Jennie leaned her head against a window. "I just—"
"Listen to me," Irene said. The exchange student looked at her. "Rosé got scared, so she left. She's not answering texts because she doesn't want to say anything wrong and you blow up on her. She's panicking."
"How do you know all of this?"
"Because I've done it before."
"Oh, so you're a lil bitch too."
"Oh, no, I texted her back."
Irene pulled into her parking space and grabbed her bag. "Everything's going to be fine," she said. "Don't read too much into it."
"Okay," Jennie pouted, grabbing her stuff as well.
The two walked in the school and went to their lockers.
"Jennie," Lucas walked up to the two. "Irene."
"What do you want?" Irene gave him a look.
"Yeah, so, I just got suspended."
"What?" Jennie finally gave him the time of day. "Why?"
"I heard Kai saying some inappropriate stuff about you, so I beat his ass," the boy shrugged.
"Lucas, how many times have I told you to not get suspended over me?"
"Too many to count, but it was worth it."
"How?" Irene asked.
"He got suspended too," Lucas smiled. "For a while."
"아이고," Jennie shook her head. "How long are you suspended for?"
"Just the week."
"That's...weird," Irene said.
"Rosé helped me get out of it."
"Speaking of Rosé," the exchange student narrowed her eyes. "Where is that trick ass bitch."
"Right behind you," the sound of Rosé's voice made Irene and Jennie jump.
The two turned around and Irene pursed lips together, looking away.
"What was it you were saying about me being a trick ass bitch?"
"Never mind that," Jennie waved her off. "We need to talk."
"About?"
"About?!" Jennie looked at her in disbelief.
"I didn't stutter—"
"You literally fucked and ducked her, Roseanne," Irene said.
"She smashed and passed you?" Lucas was wide eyed.
"She hit me and missed me—"
"Cut it out," Rosé rolled her eyes. "Come on, J."
As the two walked down the hallway, the older girl wrapped an arm around her ex's waist.
"I did not leave you to be a dick," she said.
"What other reason would there be?" Jennie asked, looking at her feet.
Rosé stopped walking and moved Jennie's head to make her look at her. "Jennie, I love you to the moon and back. I would not do that to you."
"You always say that."
"And I always mean it," the red haired girl said. "I'm a designated driver. The girls were ready to go."
"Okay," Jennie pouted.
Rosé gave her a small smile and kissed her forehead. "I missed you."
"I know," the exchange student put her head on Rosé's chest.
"Do you maybe want to get back—"
"Yes."
Rosé smiled, giving the girl a hug. "사랑합니다."
"So formal," Jennie chuckled, "but I love you, too."
"We should get to class."
"Yeah."
"I'll see you in a bit," Rosé kissed her temple.
"Bye," Jennie waved.
The two went separate ways. When Jennie walked into her class, Ten immediately looked at her.
"Sit your ass down," he said.
"Um, okay?"
The exchange student sat in front of her friend.
"I've just gotten news that you and Roseanne are back together," Ten said. "Why?"
"What?" Jisoo, Chris, and Taeyong asked.
"We literally just—"
"That's not what I asked. Why are you back together? That girl broke your heart."
"I missed her, she missed me. It's like it was meant to be," Jennie shrugged.
"Gross," Jisoo fake gagged.
"As long as you're happy, Miss Korea, I'm happy," Taeyong gave her a warm smile.
"Right," Chris agreed.
"He's right," Ten nodded, "but if she ever hurts you again, I will end her shit. Do you understand?"
Jennie rolled her eyes. "Of course, Ten."
