My head kept spinning, how long have I been here? From what I could tell it must be morning by now. The light seeping through the window was significantly brighter than before. My hands were swollen from being tightly cuffed for so long. The slightest movement hurt so I made sure to stay still. My hair and my clothes still had red dust from the trip through the deadlands. It didn't help that I hadn't had a bath in weeks. I was beginning to be aware of my own stench. "Get up!" I looked up and saw the hooded man stare down at me. I didn't even hear him come in. "I said get up! He kicked me sqaure in the ribs as I heaved a cough. I stood up slowly as he began to remove my restraints. The anti magic effect it made immediately weared off. This was my chance. I shoved my palm towards his face and shouted a spell. "Infristo!" I was suprised at how quickly he dodged my attack. He went behind me and bent my arm behind me in one swift movement. The fire shot from my hands and missed completely, shit! I could feel my arm breaking as he spoke. "You have no idea what your dealing with necromancer! I'm not one to be trifled with! I've killed beast 5 times your size! I wont hesitate to kill an little rat like you!" I mocked him, "Cut the bravado I get it you can kill me tough guy. Then do it!" My arm got tighter and more painful but he quickly released his grip. "Now move!" He shoved me forward as I walked forward towards the door. The door creaked open and we moved up the dark stairs. The light began to fill the room and we made it to the top. The room was the same as before except Leif, Rulf, and the cruel man were gone. Jameson was snoring in his chair as he rested his head against the wall. The hooded man kicked the chair underneath him as Jameson fell to the ground. "Now whatta think yer doin! Imma having a sleep I was!" "Its time to go Jameson, they will be waiting for us in Hadensburg. Lord has tasked you and me with bringing him there. We cannot fail him." "Yeah yeah I know alright! Letsa get a move on." I followed Jamseons skinny body as we moved outside. The sunlight peirced my eyes as I closed them in pain. Soon my eyes began to adjust to the light around me. My hands were cuffed again by Jameson. I got on the back of Jameson's horse grabbing my wrist trying to not focus too much on how they hurt. They were swollen and red the cuffs cut deep into them. "The hooded man spoke as he unlatched his horse. "You will see necromancer the consequences of your actions. No bad deed goes unnoticed by karma." Jameson chimed in trying to act threatening, "yeh what he said!" "I've done wrong, I'll admit that! But I'm not the only one who's hands are stained with innocent blood! Your so called master is a killer and a pyschopath! Don't you see that!? He cares for nothing but bloodshed!" "Hold you tongue before I RIP it out! My voice lost me and I had no choice but to stop. Everytime I tried nothing came out. The hooded man's keys jangled on his belt as he got on the horse. They seemed to be mocking me, just out of reach. Damn it, I have to escape! Maybe I can escape without the man seeing me. What made me curious was how he never showed his face. Nor any skin for that matter. From head to toe he was in a plain black garb. What was even stranger was he carried no weapons. He must be a mage, since no man could move as fast as he could. Also somehow I couldn't speak when he reprimanded me. Most magic users can be detected by their aura. But this man has no such aura emmitinating from him. Somehow he had supressed it. Just that thought alone I knew I was out matched. First a man with a crazy healing ability and now this! Now I knew why my master stood no chance against these fiends. They were almost godlike! Fear gripped my heart, it was almost futile to fight this. I could not do it. I'm a coward... "HEY YOU! YEAH YOU ON YER FAT HORSE COME ON A PICK ON SOMEONE YER OWN SIZE BOY!" I looked behind me and gasped. Richard came stumbling through with bloodshot eyes. He had a pony by a rope as he pulled and pulled. The pony neighed loudly as Richard Yelled. "LOOKIE WHA I got JoHn Boy! I found yer pony! Lookie itsa right her!" "I couldn't help but crack a smile, that damn fool actually came to rescue me. "Hurry John get on da pony and escape! I'll hold these bastards off for ya!" I made eye contact with the scraggly bearded man. I tried to yell run but could not speak at all still! Crap that spell is still on me!" The hooded man got off his horse without a word and walked calmly towards Richard. I shook violently as I tried to yell towards him. No! He's going to kill him! Richard could barely stand as he held his fist up, "Come on ya hooded freak! I'll mess you up with my right hand I will!" Richard swung wildly as the man calmly sidestepped it of the way. He swung again into a uppercut and almost connected. "JOHNNY RUN NOW ILL GET THIS GUY FOR YOU! I PROMISE!" That fool was still drunk out of his mind! He had no chance! "Take this fer stealin mah pony! Ya dirty pony snatcher!" He kicked straight up in the air towards the hooded mans face. Richard's eyes grew wide as he lost balance and fell on his bum, "Agghh!" I winced and I slowly looked back and saw Richard was out cold. The hooded man almost pet out a laugh, "Looks like he took care of himself what a fool." Anger and frustration shot through me as I stared at Richard with his mouth ajar and drool trickling out. The hooded man nudged the man with his foot. Richard didn't respond. "Let's go."
