Seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours. I stared down at the cold limestone floor. Completating whether I should just bang my head against the wall. The air choked the life out of me as it was infested with dust. The only thing I could concentrate on was water. Nice... cold... water... that would be nice. That stupid Richard! Couldn't he do anything right!? To think I could've broke off these cuffs right now. Maybe we would come back but I highly doubt it. Richard probably already forgot about everything and passed out again. The door creaked open I turned around and looked up at the glaring light. "Well you look happy to see me dont you?" It was the cruel man. But now he was wearing all white. Everything about him was neat and clean. Even the dusty air seemed to go around him as he moved. "You did this to yourself, I feel no pity for you." "Didnt think so." I croaked. "The cruel man cracked a wicked smile, "It will give me so much solace to see you get your head cut off." "I looked up with a new fire in my eyes, "Listen, I dont know why the hell you hate necromancers so much.  But you think hunting them down and killing them will do anything?" He came closer to me, "Yes I do, without you scum running around in your little cult the people can live in peace, I can live in peace. Necromancers are the reason their is so much pain and suffering in this world. I was spared so I could reap vengeance!" "Open your eyes! You honestly can't believe were the cause for all this!? Why dont you look at the corrupt kings and noblemen who are wiping everything out!" I felt a hard slap as pain rang in my ears. It hit again, then again. I looked through the black eye that was forming on my left eye. The taste of blood distinct in my mouth. "I'm going to make you pay necromancer! You will pay with your blood!" I saw his fist again as it strikes me in the stomach. I heaved to vomit but nothing came out.  The cruel man stormed out of the room visibly shaken. I coughed and spit more blood. That damn bastard, I'll find a way to kill him if it's the last thing I do!

The small cottage room was filled with the warm firelight. It crackled as a pot of tea boiled on top. A old man sat in his old wicker chair. He was humming a strange tune softly. The front door opened and in came Elizabeth, "Grandfather you and your tea! I swear you drink that stuff too much!" Matthias chuckled, "Only three times a day my dear." Elizabeth began to hurriedly put things haphazardly in the cupboards.  Matthias looke over his shoulder at her. "You can relax now, the place already looks like it wasnt touched at all." Elizabeth looked up, "No I can't because even the barn outside is wrecked! They ruined everything!" "Matthias took the pot off the fire and began to pour slowly in his porcelain cup. The pleasant aroma hit the air, "It doesn't matter, were safe that's all." Elizabeth looked flabbergasted, "If it wasnt for that stupid guy we would've been safe! They almost killed you! What makes you think they wont come back!?" "They won't Nazu- I mean John is gone. So they shouldn't bother us at all now. Just trust me Eliza please." She looked down as her temper seemed to subside, "Okay grandfather, okay" Elizabeth walked away and into another room. Matthias sat for some time sipping on his green tea, he focused on how it smelled as it reminded him of his own father. He was an old man now, the only family he had was his granddaughter. Life seemed to be filled with bittersweet uncertainty. He got up and looked at the shelves filled with books illuminated by the fire.  With his wrinkly hands he pried through a scroll bounded by leather straps. He spread it on the table and studied the map. It was a map of all of Valeria, Hadensburg and Caern and Gohndor dotted the map as black dots. The forest of blightwood separated Hadensburg and Caern as a large swatch of trees. The mountains separated Caern from the kingdom of Valeria which sat in the middle of a mountainous terrain. "There, I will end this madness once and for all."
