That first summer we spent's one we'll never forget,

Looking for any kind of reason to escape all the mess that

We thought was what made us

Ain't it funny now? We can see

We're who we're meant to be

Sam was in the airport waiting for her mom. Sam was bouncing nervously on her toes, biting her lip and running her hand through her hair. she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a black long sleeve Sleeping With Sirens shirt, and black Supras. she had her keys and phone in her left hand. too much black? never.

she saw a girl who looked similar to her, but her hair was lavender with dark purple tips and somewhat wavy hair, beside the girl, was Sam's mother. Sam rushed over to her mom, grabbing her in a big hug.

"mom!" Sam whispered into Ryan's neck, making her mom laugh softly.

"baby girl," she responded, the girl with lavender hair stood awkwardly beside them, Sam pulled back from the hug, "ah, Samantha, this is your sister, her name is Ryder, Ryder this is Sam."

"hey," Sam said, and smiled softly at Ryder.

"hi," Ryder said.

"Sam is your full-blood sister, Ryder," their mother confirmed.

"what?" Sam asked. "I have a full-blood sibling? why didn't dad tell me?"

"well, we thought it was best if you two didn't know about each other, but your sister likes the same music as you, so I got you guys tickets to see, what's that weird band that screams in their music, Ry?" her mother asked.

"ugh, mom! it's not just a concert, it's Warped Tour!" Ryder rolled her eyes and smiled at Sam, Sam returned the smile.

"WAIT! YOU GOT US TICKETS TO WARPED TOUR?" Sam practically screamed.

"I KNOW, RIGHT! I AM SO EXCITED!" Ryder exclaimed.

"OHMYGOD! I'M GOING TO WARPED TOUR!" Sam said, running up to the girl she barely knew and wrapped her in a hug. "I HAVE A SISTER AND WE ARE GOING TO WARPED TOUR!"

"THIS WAS ME LIKE YESTERDAY!" Ryder said, laughing. "so, what's it like to live in New York?"

"meh, lonely. what about Alaska?" Sam retorted.

"meh, I would rather live here, always something to do," Ryder sighed and looked at her mother with pleading eyes.

"I said I would talk to your father, Ryder Lynn!" Ryan snapped.

"ohmygod, it would be great if you lived with us!" Sam said.

"I know, because all I have in Alaska is no one, not a soul likes me there," Ryder said, Sam gave her a curious look, "I'll tell you later."

"oh okay," Sam giggled.

"you two were inseparable as small children, you know," Ryan sighed.

"I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't remember her," Ryder said.

"I don't remember you either," Sam chuckled.

"you two are twins, and as children, you two wouldn't leave one another, so I took Ryder, and we left in the middle of the night, the only time we would be able to separate you," Ryan said, a hint of hurt in her eyes.
