Chap 4

Weeks went by into the school term with the continuous routine of me
pretending to be fine in front of my
best friend while her Alpha mate
continued to defile me. I went along with pack business as usual trying not to let my emotions show.

Sitting in class I heard footsteps
approaching my classroom door. I
was curious to know who would want to interrupt our class. As the door
swung open I continued looking in
my textbook trying to be oblivious to
the person standing at the door. My wolf was excited but I didn't know
why. I was trying to ask her what was up but she kept yipping and laughing not telling me. I wasn't attuned to the conversation taking place at the door because I was trying to talk to my wolf and stay invisible during class. It sure takes a lot of work to not be noticed. I jumped out my seat suddenly when a hand grazed my shoulder. My teacher Mrs. Clark spoke " I'm sorry dear I didn't mean to startle you but I called you a few times to get your attention but you
didn't seem to hear me." I plastered a fake smile on my face and replied " Is there something you needed ma'am? " I was confused as to why she came
up to me.

" You're needed in the auditorium for a special meeting of the Elite Club.
Mister Escalier will escort you there."

I looked to where she indicated and
looked into a familiar pair of curious blue eyes staring into mine. I smiled, a real smile, for the first time in weeks. Standing in front of the class was Leandro. I couldn't contain my happiness at seeing him. Apparently so couldn't the other female students in the class. They put on their flirtatious smiles and pushed up there boobs to gain his attention. His charm wasn't on them though, it was directed at me. I couldn't help but smile inwardly at that.

I packed up my stuff and headed out the door with Dro. As soon as we were out of viewing distance he hauled into a hug and lifted me in the air. He kissed the top of my head and put me back to stand at his side and exclaim happily " It's been to long little mouse!"

I was so overjoyed. I smacked him in the shoulder hard, well not that hard cause he's way stronger than me so I'm sure he didn't really feel a thing. "Ow! What was that for? " " You could of told me you were coming I would of prepared " I retorted. He let out a deep bellied laugh at that. I pouted cause he knew I hated it when he laughed at me. He stopped laughing long enough to put his hand between my eyebrows and smooth out my crease there. " Please don't do that, you ......................, let's go to the auditorium before we're late" He held my hand and we made our way quickly to the meeting.

" When this is over I'm gonna take you somewhere so we can chat"he said. I nodded my head in consent. At least that gives me a day of reprieve.

We were one of the last few people to arrive. The doors closed and the soundproof switch was activated.

The Elite Club is more or less werewolf only for major announcements and minor activities going on in different packs in our region.

All attention was to the stage. The spokesperson stepped up to the mike. She was wearing the royal colours, purple white and grey.

" Welcome all to the Elite Club meeting. I want to commence this meeting firstly by asking all Alphas to be and Alphas in mating to stay for a few minutes after the general Club meeting". She began. "My name is Mrs. Ashanka and I am the official representative for Royals also known as the Larkin Pack. I've come to address the issue of............................................................."

She droned on for for exactly one hour straight about matters concerning rogues, our issues with Witch and Demon Alliances, Alphas that are son to step down and the unlawful killings that don't go through our Court system. All the while she was talking I'm sure everyone heard my rapid heartbeats. I was more concerned about the meeting at the end of this meeting to really pay full attention to everything she said. But who could blame me my life has changed so much in the past months i don't know how much more change i could handle.

I was so busy being inside my head I was just now realising only a few students were left in the auditorium. Mrs.Ashanka spoke "Can the remaining students please come closer to the stage please? "

Me and Dro made our way to the front. In walking down the stairs I tripped and almost face planted if it wasn't for Dro. "Still got two left feet I see." He teased. "I can't help it if I don't have a normal werewolf system going on. I'm a natural born klutz remember. I practically fell out of the womb during birth." We both cracked up at that and continued our decent.

I made the mistake of looking up and saw Ethan.My smile immediately fell. I sat next to Dro who sat next to Ethan.

" I have some very grave issues to discuss with you and I want no interruptions while i speak. " she began. She waited for our nod of approval and continued. She was speaking softly so in case of ease droppers only us werewolves would be able to detect her next words. " The Alphas and Alphas in mating Ball is going to moved up ahead of schedule. Reason being any high ranking female werewolf that has a possibility of being the Royals next Alpha's mate,are being kidnapped, tortured and brutally murdered. I am not saying these things to frighten you all but all Top females must be protected at all cost. The next Royals Queen is suspected to hold great power.We don't know for sure as yet but she is supposed to lead us in a future war against other supernaturals. You must double the amount of guards and have a protection for them at all times. These are perilous times because we are not at peace like the olden days. Fight for territory is getting worse and packs are being broken up and separated because of wars. We can't afford to lose another female to his nonsensical behavior. All this information was passed onto your pack leaders already, but you are forewarned for your own protection. You have two weeks to prepare yourselves for the ball. Until then be safe and God's speed to you"

She left us all there in shock. She didn't even give us a backwards glance. All this information,i tried to process it but it was so hard to believe. They probably didn't want any major panic and mass hysteria to break out so they kept all this information hush hush. What a mess.

Me and Dro decided it was best if he just came over to my place and hung out. It may seem weird that we're friends but ever since the incident I became close to him. He just bonded with me from the get go. I don't know what it is about him but he has this protective nature towards me. But I still can't tell him, I can't tell no one what happened that day. I can't even remember for Christ sake.

For now all I'm gonna concentrate on is having some fun time with him while he's here because he most likely has to go home soon. On our ride home from school I started feeling sick, I don't know why but I signaled to Dro that I was gonna pull over. As soon as I stopped and opened the door I began to vomit like crazy. Dro came over from his motorcycle to see if I was alright. " I'm fine, it's probably just the story from earlier now catching up with my brain. " I tried to smile and pass it off as nothing.

My wolf senses picked up some noises in the bushes. We were parked to far from help if anything was to go wrong out here and after what Ms. Ashanka told us I admit I was a little paranoid. All these Idaho mountains may cause us some problems.

" Dro? " He turned to the bushes as I called out to him. " I think we should leave." I was getting a bad vibe already. I hustled into my car while Leandro started his Harley. As soon as we were taking off I saw five masked figures appear from where I heard the noises in my rear view mirror. I sped out of there as fast as I could with Dro flanking me. I didn't need any more drama today.................................................
