The minute the door close I started to look for a way out of the cuffs. There was no way I was going to be here waiting on his pleasure when he came back, no matter if there was no Z or Pops. The thought had tears springing to my eyes and I swiped my unbound hand over them, there was no time for tears now I told myself as I continued to search for a way out of the cuffs.

My eyes landed on a ladies accessory kit on the dresser...there. I bet there was something in there! I didn't know if I was going to be able to reach it but I sure as hell was going to try. Getting up off the bed I stretched as far as my anchored arm would allow as I use my foot to try and drag the accessory kit towards me. It was too far away but luckily someone had thought to add some girly frill to the room and the doily it was on I was able to slide across the dresser and to the edge allowing the accessory kit to fall to the floor with a thud.

Shit that was loud! Or it certainly felt loud in the room where I was trying to be as quiet as possible to make my escape, I stopped moving and held by breath while I waited for the shower to stop and him to come striding back to investigate the noise but the shower continued running and I heard no noise coming from the hall. I could just rest my big toe on the kit and knew I was going to have to stretch my arm farther to get the distance I needed, shit it was going to hurt and my skin was already on fire thanks to those bastards but the alternate would be far worse!

I was able to get purchase with my toe and drug it quickly towards me knowing I was running out of time, he couldn't possibly stay in the shower that much longer. Reaching down I grabbed the kit, and frantically searched for something sturdy enough to open these cuffs. Finally a piece of luck going my way, there was a metal nail file. Time to put those skills Tink had taught me about getting out of cuffs to use as I use the file to work the lock on the cuffs, almost crying in relief when they finally popped out.

Rubbing my wrist I quickly scanned the room trying to gauge the best way to get away. I had taken too much time getting out of the cuffs and I knew Pike would be out any second so moving towards the window I flipped the lock and offered up a prayer that I had been cuffed because they had not had time to nail it shut. There must have been an angel watching over me and I offered up a prayer for their help just as I heard the shower stop running.

Fuck, no time left to waste, I hoisted myself up onto the ledge and dropped to the forest floor, jarring every part of my body and causing me to bite my lip making it bleed to avoid crying out and alerting Pike. Christ, we were out in the wood, somewhere and I had no idea what direction to head in but I had to get moving. I could see the faint track through the woods that they probably used to get up to the cabin but I couldn't risk being on the main road, that is the first place Pike would search for me, but I also could not risk getting lost in the woods and die from exposure.

Deciding my best course of action was to follow the road but through the woods keeping a distance from it so that I would not been seen I set out.

I know it didn't take long for the call to come through, although it felt like forever. Circuit unfortunately wasn't able to pinpoint who it was as they were using a blocker on the phone but the call had gone out so now we had to set the other part of our plan in motion.

Gathering the guys that we trusted we made like we were heading out to the meeting with the Scots, while we waited a few short kilometers down the road for Circuit to call with the location that the enemies men came from.
