Chapter 5: The Search Begins

    When the gang got back home the next day, Twilight and Sunset wasted no time in immediately getting to work building a portal to take them to the stone's locations, excitement coursing through their veins. They had decided it would be best to go out in groups; that way, they'd have a better chance at making it back. Kovu offered to stay behind and keep track of their progress while also keeping an eye on Wallflower, just in case if any evil spirits would come by and try to take her. "Besides," he'd added, "she'll need someone to look after her. And also, for some reason, the mere thought of traveling through a portal is making my stomach feel queasy."

    After a week, the portal was finished and ready after a few careful tests. "Alright guys," Creech said. "Ya'll ready?"

    "Ready as I'll ever be," Butch replied nervously, gulping.

    Lightning just patted him on the back in comfort while the others nodded in agreement. Twilight split them up into different groups and told them which stone they would have to find. "And remember to be back here as soon as you find them," she warned. "Understand?"

    Everyone nodded. "Alright, ya'll," said Applejack, holding her hand out. "Let's do this."

    At this everyone placed their hands on top of Applejack's, causing the magic from their respective geods and cross necklaces to turn them into the Christian and Crystal Guardians, much to Wallflower's amazement. "Wow. I wish I could be like you guys."

    Kovu smiled. "It'll come someday," he assured her. "Just gotta wait for the right time."

    With that, he typed in the locations into the portal, and each group jumped through one their respective locations were shown on the portal's other side. Sunset and Twilight left with the others, but not before giving Wallflower an encouraging hug before leaving.

    Because they weren't going to let a bunch of evil spirits steal their friend and get away with it.
