My shift at the smoothie place was finally over, so I drove back to the campus to shower and get ready for the party. Now, normally I wasn't one to give up a night of studying - especially on a week night - to go to some wild party, but since it was Niall's twenty-first I made an exception. I wondered if I should get him anything. I asked him if he wanted anything, but he told me it was fine if I didn't give him a present. Besides, I barely knew the guy. We only met, like, a week ago. I wouldn't have known what to get him even if he did want anything. I wasn't sure what he liked.
After my shower, I put on some make up and then slipped into a red lace dress with a brown belt and threw a black jacket on over it. Taking one last look in the mirror, I was satisfied with how I looked. Most girls probably would have took pne look at themselves and point out everything wrong about them, but not me. I knew I had flaws - everyone does; it's what makes us human - but I also knew that imperfections made everyone more beautiful than they already are.
I put on some black ankle boots and grabbed my purse and phone, left the room.

I arrived at the address - which was apperently a frat house - that Niall had texted me, and one thought immediately came to mind when I stepped inside: I'm defintely wearing more clothing than most of the people here combined. The longest dress I've seen on a girl here so far only covers not even half of her thigh. I also noticed how many and how much of tall these girls' cleavage is showing. I mentally gagged at crude outfits being worn by these women. It seemed that practiacally every guy I knew liked to party with potential prostitiutes.
The people here reminded me of that bar that Louis took me too just a few days ago. Oh yeah, Louis... He's probably here, isn't he?
Why did I agree to this again? Right. Niall's birthday. Maybe I could go back and text Niall and tell him that I'm not feeling well. He'd understand, right? No. I promised him I'd come. I don't break promises.
It's Niall's birthday, it's Niall's birthday, it's Niall's birthday,' repeated n my head as I wandered around aimlessly, looking for Niall or just someone I knew. This fraternity building was the farthest one from my dorm, so I've never been to it. Well, actually, the only one I have been to was one that Ethan always tried to drag me to. I only actually ended up going, maybe three times total, the third time being for the Halloween party I mentioned before.
The place was huge. Like the TARDIS in Doctor Who, it seemed that the place was bigger on the inside than it is on the outside.
"Wendy?"
Startled, I turned around. "Ethan?"
"Babe, what are you doing here?" He questioned, obviously I was out this late on a Monday night. "I thought you would've been in your dorm. If I would've known you'd be coming, I-"
"Oh, it was a last minute decision to come here." I explained vguely.
He took my hand in his and we just walked around the house, making conversation. It felt so weird to talk to him, even though he was my boyfriend. We hadn't spoken to each other in days. I thought he'd be more upset with me; after all, I did stand him up a few nights ago. But if he didn't want to talk about it, I wasn't going to force it. An agnry Ethan is not a fun Ethan. I'd much rather deal with the nice, caring guy I..loved. Why did that word feel weird to say? Ugh.
"So how do you know Niall?" He asked me with his eyebrow raised.
"Louis introduced me-"
"Wait what?"
I rolled my eyes. "I said, Louis introduced me to him and, like, three other guys last week. Plus, NIall's the assisstant manager at my new job."
