After the meeting I began to help with getting in contact with the other evacuation places and inform them to start evacuating the churches. I then went with a special unit to keep the demon back while we loaded the school bus full of people, prioritizing women, children, and the elderly. Once the buss was filled, two dragons picked it up and made their way to the mountain. I was in the bell tower of the church, looking down at the hoard of demons outside of the gate. Suddenly they parted and a woman who was a true child of the King stepped forth. She had a sword on her hip,  and she wore black leather pants, and a black leather halter top. Her ebony hair was in a pony tail and her red hair and gold eyes were bright.

"I'm looking to fight the mixed breed who sealed away my father a few months ago," She said. She was the same king of demon that Surge's wife was. She was a Realm demon, while the hoard roaming about were Underworld demons. Realm demons were from a dimension much like ours, except instead of humans, its demons. Underworld demons are like what we're dealing with. They're like wild animals who ran on instinct but we're also highly intelligent. The Realm demon below must be one of the King's children he had through more traditional means with his mate before he was sealed away.

"And if I win," I asked her. She looked up with a smile, "Then I will allow you and everyone who isn't a demon safe passage through the city until morning tomorrow." "I'll be down in a second," I told her. I made it to the bottom of the stairs but the Priest stopped me. "Your sword will break against hers," He told me, looking at the sword on my back. He then handed me something wrapped in blessed cloth. "It's the Sword of Blinding light. Only someone who's mastered Holy magic can wield it." I took off the cloth and saw a sword in a white scabbard. It was a kitana. The guard was made of real gold with runes engraved into it. The blade was double edged with a  blessing in latin on the blade. I slid it back into it's sheath with a nod, "Thank you."

I then went outside, stepping past the gate. The demons had parted at her command, giving us enough room to fight. I was at a disadvantage. I haven't fed since the night I mated with Drake. My magic of course wasn't too happy about that either. I was gonna have to end this quickly. She changed at me as I unsheathed the sword. Demons hissed at the light that came from it but she didn't falter. Our blades made a ringing sound when they clashed, the sound of Heaven and Hell coming together in disaster. We continued to meet blow for blow. I poured more of my magic into the sword, making my strikes stronger. Eventually I managed to slice her throat and stomach with quick strikes. She dropped to her knees with a hiss, her sword dropping. "You win this time you bitch, but I will be back for you." She then snapped her fingers and the demons vanished before she did. It seems she was staying true to her word. I put the sword in it's sheath, then felt my hunger slam into me. I had to use the sword to support me as I walked back into the church.

I was on the first bus back to the mountain, but unfortunately no one was in the room when I got back. I tried the mind link, but they were blocking me, and I didn't have the energy to get through their blocks. I laid on the bed, no longer having the energy to stand. I decided to sleep to preserve what energy I had left.

Cindy's POV

I was in the make shift kitchen with Nathaniel. We were fuming over the fact Alice so willingly volunteered her life without talking to us. I was also happy to have a mate so selfless, but just this once I wanted her to be selfish and try to live. The Chief of the agents came in and poured himself a cup of coffee, "How is Alice doing?" "She went to help with evacuations," Nathaniel grumbled before taking a drink of his own coffee. "She came back two hours ago after fighting an Other Realm demon. She wasn't injured, but it was clear she was drained of magic and hungry," He told us. Nathaniel looked to me, "Did she feed after fighting that horde that attacked the outside of the mountain?" I shook my head, "She hasn't fed since she fed from Drake when they completed the mating." Nathaniel was gone in a split second and I teleported myself to the room.
