Chapter 70

Cindy's POV

Getting the access card was a walk in the park. Alice had given us a map of what she remembered of the layout, and now Nathaniel and I walked quietly through the facility. I used my magic to trick the cameras as we walked about. "How many more floors to go," I asked him softly. "Just one more, it should be the bottom basement floor," he said as he looked it over.

When we got to the floor I used the card and opened the locked door. Inside were rows and rows of shelves. Before I stepped in, I saw some ward marks on the floor. I took my phone out and did a video call for Alice, "What are these markings for?" "They're to allow us to learn the information we learned in the library but to forget the library exists when we walk out so we can't share it with those who aren't supposed to know. When I first found them I created a potion that countered it, which is why i know about the library. It's also why I made you drink the potions so it's safe for you to go in," she explained to. I nodded, "Okay, we'll let you know if we find anything." I then hung up and we went into the room.

"How are we going to find anything in this place," I asked softly. "Let's see if they have a reference manual," Nathaniel said as he turned on his flashlight. We found one and flipped through the pages. "Agent experiments," I said pointing to an a section. "Do you think they did more to Alice than what we know?" "There is only one way to find out," Nathaniel said. "Stay here." He used his vampire speed to run about the library quickly then came back with a large stack of files. I sent them to the closet in our bedroom.

"What's next," He asked me. We flipped through it till we found, "Agent death reports. Maybe we can find something about her parents. After what the council did to Alice, I want to ensure it wasn't something they caused." He looked at the section number then was off again before coming back with another stack. I sent them home before we flipped through and found Artifacts. He ran off and brought back a few stacks for me to send back. We then began to flip through and found a few more things that we found concerning and gathered them up before going home. I quickly changed then sent the access card back into the pocket of the council member.

We let everyone know through the mind link we were back. Soon everyone was in the room and Alice sealed it off to ensure no one could eaves drop. "Agent death reports," Alice asked. "After what the council did to you, I wanted to make sure the council didn't set up their deaths either," I told her. She gave me a nod, "First let's go through what you guys originally went to get."

We spent hours going through the information.  We also easily found information on the Blood Stone. A lot of the stuff Alice had to go through and restore it back to its original state so we could read it clearly since many pages had a yellow tint to it and the ink was faded. "So if the library is warded to make people forget about it once they leave, how do the council members still know about it," I asked her. "Same way we do. They drank a potion," She replied. "They keep their little secrets down there as well. When we students went there to study, a council member grabbed the books we needed and made us sit to ensure we didn't go and look at the stuff they didn't want us to see. The council members don't know, I still know about the library. I only took the potion, because I didn't like my head being screwed with. Never thought remembering the library existed would come in handy."

"But if you guys didn't know about it, how did you guys know to go to the library to study," Pyrus asked her. "They would escort us down there for study time. I found it funny the other students would always be so tense as the wondered where they were taking us since they were unable to remember," she explained with a soft laugh. "All I know is, they shouldn't be hoarding information like this," Shelton said as he gestured to the books. "They do it to protect our information from getting into the wrong hands," Alice said. "At least that was the original purpose for it. Its morphed into something more sinister now."

Nathaniel sighed as he stretched after hours of reading, "Its getting pretty late." He then nudged Qin, "And you've already put in so many hours dealing with documents and such, you need to take a break." Qin sighed as he rubbed his eyes, "Yeah you're right." I stood up, "We just put the twins down, I say we take a nice hot bath. After all, Pyrus had a custom one made to fit all of us and we have yet to use it all together." Alice stretched, "I second that. A bath sounds wonderful right about now."

We were all in agreement. Pyrus got the water ready while we gathered up the things we took and Alice made them disappear to her special pocket dimension. I sighed in happiness at the feel of the warm water on my muscles. I looked over at Alice who was putting her hair up. She was already beginning to show due to the amount of babies she was carrying. She was going to get big very fast. Drake gave her a hand as she got in.

"So much longer till your coronation," Pyrus asked Shelton. "Two weeks," Shelton told him. "Meaning we need to go dress shopping soon," I said to Alice who sunk a little further into the water, not a fan of shopping. "That's a lot of dresses," Alice muttered. "You'll soon have a whole new wardrobe," I pointed out to her. She sighed, "Yeah I know." I couldn't wait to plan her maternity photos and baby shower like she did for me. The winter photo shoot I had was a lot of fun, and they turned out so beautiful. By the time Alice gets close to having the babies, it'll be late summer.

"As the pregnancy goes by, she'll only feel hotter, so she may end up not wanting to wear clothes," Pyrus said jokingly. "Or just spend it in a swim suit in the pool," Alice told him. "That works, but I would rather see you naked," Pyrus said with a smirk. "Wont be much to see besides a large stomach by then," Alice told him. "And every beautiful stretch mark your body gets," Drake told her. Anytime I have sex with the guys and Alice, they always take time to kiss the stretch marks I got from the twins. They also enjoy the little bit of weight I haven't been able to get rid of too. And now that Alice is the one who is pregnant I understand why.

We all relaxed and were enjoying our time together until we noticed Qin and Alice were starting to drift asleep. Qin had his arms around her, his hands rested on her stomach and his chin on her shoulder. She had her head tilted so it rested against his head and her hands were resting on his. It was definitely time for bed, I thought.

We got out and dried off before crawling into bed. As expected, Alice and Qin were the first to fall asleep. "You did a great job today Cindy," Shelton whispered to me, so we didn't wake them. "And although she didn't say it, Alice is thankful you gave her this chance to learn the truth about what happened to her parents." I looked downwards, "Its something that's always bugged me. How many more agents have gone through what she did? I know the main reason we have the council is to keep us in check so we dont become crazy power hungry rulers, but I honestly feel the council is unnecessary. After everything they've done to Alice, I feel they're the ones who are corrupt. I know there are some good members, like you, Shelton, but we cant couch for all of them. Especially when they hide such important information."

He kissed my cheek, "Let's leave those worries for tomorrow. Right now let's try to get some sleep." I nodded, knowing he was right. Baby steps, I reminded myself. We were one step closer to the peace we were shooting for.
