six - why?

Uhm, Kaitlyn threatened to hang Gyro if I didn't update, so.. yeah-

So, the POV is of a Narrator, soooooo- do any of you have names for him/her/them???

Narrator's POV

Everything was settled quite easily at the manor, although Scrooge and Marshall were confused for a bit due to... reasons, but other than that, things worked out well.

Everyone was assigned to two or three people per room, so Kaitlyn bunked with Michael to avoid starting a fight with Tess and Evan, which left those two with Brynne. Scrooge thankfully had separate beds in each room, so there wasn't much of a problem for anyone.

In the morning, the girls were interrogated by the children and Scrooge while Mrs. Beakley made breakfast. Brynne nearly brought up the question of meat, but she remembered that they were animals, so the closest thing she could get would be fish.

After that, Scrooge announced he'd be heading to the Money Bin, so he'd have to take Brynne with him. Tess volunteered to join as well, and Evan decided to tag along too. Michael and Kaitlyn shrugged and offered to join just because they didn't want to stay at the manor.

Kaitlyn insisted on bringing Marshall, and Evan snagged the front seat of the limo to be near Launchpad. The ride was mostly silence, seeing as Scrooge had LP close the divider because he didn't want to hear him and Evan blab on.

"So, Scrooge, how are you?" Kaitlyn asked as Scrooge eyed her for a minute. He viewed her a bit differently when an old memory popped into his head, but that was a long time ago. He barely remembered the scene much honestly.

"Exhausted. Also, I just remembered that the family has been invited to a party held by Mark Beaks at the end of the week. There wasn't a maximum number of people to invite, if you girls would like to come. Launchpad will be going, as well as Fenton. I assumed we'll be taking uhm... Marshall, but everyone else I invited hasn't responded yet. That would be the boy's cousin, Fethry, their uncles Donald and Gladstone, as well as Gyro. I also asked Donald's friends, José and Panchito to join if they could. Webby's friend Lena is coming as well."

Scrooge's final sentence had everyone in the car silent.

"Lena?" They all asked simultaneously, smiles widening on their faces. Scrooge was confused by this, but the car slammed on the brakes, which hurled everyone around the car.

They all managed to exit without a scratch, and the group separated into two. Evan, Launchpad, Michael, Kaitlyn, and Marshall decided to explore the upper level as Scrooge took Tess and Brynne to the lab.

As the elevator doors opened, Lil Bulb looked up from the ground, and Tess quickly snatched him from the floor. "Isn't he adorable?"

The two took the tiny robot up to one of the counters as they waited for either Fenton or Gyro to arrive. Scrooge had left them to make sure the others didn't break anything or try to rob him.

"Hey Brynne, you wanna hold him?" Tess asked, handing the blonde Lil Bulb. Brynne smiled and looked at the small robot before smirking.

"This bish empty, yeet-" She yelled, tossing the bot into the air waiting for it to land to the ground.

Instead of that, the girls heard someone growl in pain and Gyro glared at them angrily, rubbing the top of his head.

"Sorry..." Brynne and Tess apologized, staring at the ground to avoid eye contact. Fenton came running in with loads of paperwork before he slipped and dropped the stack on the floor.

"Teresa (sorry if I butchered your name Tess-), why don't you go help my intern?" Gyro mumbled as Tess nodded and rushed over to help pick up and carry papers.

Day two of Brynne and Gyro being kinda alone together in the lab. Instead of asking his usual questions though, Gyro asked something else to Brynne. "What would you say your relationship is with your friends? Who are you close with, have you had any fights with anyone?"

"Well, uhm, Evan and I are really good friends, boy we sometimes fight over stupid things, like who's the dumbest or who's more annoying. Tess and I are close, not much to complain about with her. Michael and I are pretty close too, she typically fights with me over dumb stuff, and I always give in because I don't wanna pick a fight. Kaitlyn, we don't fight much unless we wanna piss each other off, but I don't think any of them hate me."

"Alright..." Gyro remarked. He pulled out a notebook similar to the one the girls had written in earlier. "Explain this now."

He flipped to a page and the girl read it to herself.

'Kaitlyn probably hates Brynne now, for reasons, but whatever. Sucks for them. :P'

"Other points of what you girls have written reveal a lot of things. Michael has feelings for Marshall Cabrera, even though he's supposed to be dead, Teresa likes Launchpad, Evan hasn't revealed his, and you and Kaitlyn I've seen to completely misjudge. You have feelings for my intern and why she has feelings for me is confusing, and I have one thing to say-"

The girl blinked, shocked how Gyro had the breathing capacity to say all of that so fast.

"Why?"
