Sorry it's short guys, next chapter will be... different, but the one after will be hella longer-

Kaitlyn's POV

"Hey Scrooge, as you know, my name is Kaitlyn, and Gyro's been keeping a secret from you." I pointed finger-guns at the billionaire with a cheeky smile. Being straightforward is what I do best, telling people like it is.

Scrooge gave me a blank stare and battered his eyes at me. "What-" He began, his eye twitching a little.

"No, no, no, it's not a bad thing! I just think that you and I should sneak off, go find it, and test how it works! Y'know?" I poked his side with a wink as he shrugged. "Sure, let's go. Just... stealthily creek away..."

Scrooge lifted a foot and moved a step back, continuing to do so for like... fifteen seconds before I grabbed him by the collar and dragged him off to go find Gyro's time machine. I cannot stand being in a universe where everyone is in front of their crush and I'm stuck watching them find happiness.

Heck, just getting to see Marshall would make me happy enough. Plus, it's a win for Michael by me "distracting" Scrooge.

I saw Tess and Evan with Fenton in a hallway, so I walked the other way so they wouldn't get... suspicious. The triplets, Webby, and Launchpad had left since Scrooge quickly and told LP to take them home before I dragged him off. Which left Brynne alone with Gyro as Michael did... whatever he was doing.

After a little bit of searching, we found a room with all the lights shut off. I walked in as Scrooge flipped on the light switch. The only thing in the room was a bathtub, also known to me as my ticket to Marshall.

"A tub? This is the secret?" Scrooge rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed. Guess he isn't as smart as we thought.

I got in and looked at it. I had no idea how to operate the mechanics, but Launchpad knows how to fly a plane without proper training, so this shouldn't be too different, right?

"Lass, what are you doing?" Scrooge asked, giving me a look as he approached. I flipped a switched and a light surrounded me. It was too bright that I could barely see anything.

I rubbed my eyes and looked around me. I was in a ghost town.

Marshall..... I need to find him...
