"hey uhm, i already ordered our drinks, i hope you don't mind."

hermione gazed up to the beautiful woman in front of her.
her lips were as red as ever and her figure was hidden by a black hoodie.

"no, not at all."

the witches sat down in comforting silence, just enjoying each others presence.
they witnessed their opponent in silent admiration, the same thought in their heads,

you can take my breath, i don't need it.

but their thoughts were interrupted by the waitress, who placed two steaming hot cups in front of them and pansy noticed, that the coffee in her cup indeed her beloved caramel latte was.

hermione remembered.

it even had the extra chocolate sprinkles on top of the whipped cream.
the slytherin took a sip, closing her eyes immediately as she felt the dark brown liquid running down her throat.
she placed the porcelain back on the table, scanning the red lipstick stain she left on it, but looked up when she heard granger moan quietly.

the gryffindor had her eyes closed as well, probably feeling the same satisfying warmth in her body.
pansy smiled at the sight and when the brown haired girl opened her eyes, noticing that pansy heard her, blushed her cheeks in the most adorable shade of pink.

"thank you."
the words left parkinsons lips before she could think about it.

"for what?"

"for all this," the slytherin gestured between them,
"for the coffee, for writing me a letter, for accepting my phone number," she swallowed and added quietly "for not hating me."

there it was.
the weird situation they tried to avoid for so long, but they knew they had to talk about it sooner or later.

the gryffindor was, once again, out of words.
pansy parkinson was sweet torture.
being able to look at her, but not touching her in any way was insane.
and hermione didn't even understood why she wanted the other girl so desperately in first place.

she hadn't felt this way back at hogwarts and honestly never thought she could feel that kind of affection for another girl ever.
but here she was, being completely under the others spell.
it was like an unforgivable curse and somehow she enjoyed it.

"it's not polite to stare at other people, granger."
the black haired smirked.
hermione hadn't noticed that she was staring at the slytherin.

she brushed it of with a quick 'sorry, i had something on my mind' as she took another sip of her coffee.

"and what exactly did you have on your mind?"
she felt pansys leg touching hers lightly and her cheeks warming up again.

"i- i just-"

"oh my, did i make hermione granger speechless? now that's an interesting sight."

parkinson took the last sip out of her cup, leaving five pounds on the table, before she stood up and reaching her hand out, waiting for hermione to take it.

"let's go somewhere else, i want to talk."

hermione looked up at her, not exactly knowing what was happening, as it was happening so unexpected.
after a while, she took the others hand, feeling cold, pale fingers between her own.

again, not in a million years would she have thought to find herself in a situation like this.

they rushed out of the café, on the nearly empty streets, still holding onto each other, like it was the most normal thing ever. and for the passersby they almost looked like a couple.

hermione laughed internally at that thought.
yeah, a couple, how ridiculous.
she and pansy parkinson.
