a muffled tap on the window glass shook
hermione out of her dreams.
she threw the warm blanket aside, after rubbing her eyes, which cause her to see little sparkles and stars behind her closed eyelids.

there was a little owl desperately trying to get in her apartment and escaping the heavy fall rain. the sleepy witch opened the window with a loud creak, letting in the poor animal, along with arctic morning air that caused her girlfriend to hide under the blankets even more.

hermione didn't recognize the bird from anyone she knew, so obviously she was curious to whom it belonged.

"who are you, little friend?" she whispered in a raspy voice, before taking the letter that was attached to the owls foot.

there was a colorful piece of paper with
the title 'weasleys christmas dinner'.

of course. since hermione could remember, mrs.weasley had a thing for big family gatherings and what better occasion could she have than christmas?

but as she folded the invitation close, there was a second page with a even more familiar handwriting.

dear hermione,
though we haven't seen each other in a long time, i hope you accept this invitation to our christmas dinner this friday, 8 o'clock. i think, there are some things we need to talk about.
your best friend, ron.

she sighed.
sure, she wanted to see ron again, sooner or later, but at her current state, it rather be later.

two pale arms hugged her waist from behind and hermione leaned into the hug, closing her eyes.
"what are you reading?"
pansy asked, glancing at the letters, while she softly kissed the hickey on hermiones neck.

"do you wanna go to the weasleys christmas dinner?" hermione smiled.

pansy smirked at that idea.

"hell yes."

"okay, so what are you gonna wear?"
the slytherin witch asked her girlfriend, as she was standing in front of her huge closet.

the gryffindor shrugged.
"i don't know, jeans and a sweater?"

pansy turned around with a fake shock
on her face.

"oh no you won't, hermione granger. you're gonna show that damn weaselbee what he's missing out on. i want you to glow brighter than that christmas tree. now, where are your hot dresses-"

"i don't really own hot dresses. i never needed them, as i'm just at home all the time anyway."

the brunette just heard a mumble, which sounded a lot like "merlin in limbo, why am i the extra one in this relationship?"

pansy took hermiones hand and spoke up
"well, now that i'm your girlfriend, i am gonna give you a makeover to show everyone the beauty i'm dating!"

and with that, she dragged hermione out of the house to the next shop filled with dresses and suits.

and after a few minutes of hermione standing there completely helpless and pansy looking through the clothing racks like a maniac, the black haired witch held up a black suit along with some high heels.

"you want me to wear a suit?"

"oh i guarantee you, i want that more than anything, it'd look so hot on you."

the brunette witch disappeared in one of the changing cabinets and she had to admit, that suit looked pretty good on her.

she opened the curtains and was greeted with her girlfriend almost drooling over her.

"that's it granger. i'm gonna marry you right here and now. by merlins rainbow pride socks, i'm a gay mess for you."

hermione laughed and theatrical cheered
"let's rock this christmas party."
