it's been an entire week since they took pansy away and hermione was surely going crazy.
the gryffindor found out during the nightmarish procedure, that her girlfriends parents were part of the deatheaters and the girl tried to escape the aurors ever since.
and with that, there appeared a thousand questions in her head.
was she just a cover up to make hiding easier?
what has she gotten herself into-
"hermione, stop worrying."
draco tried to calm his former enemy.they were seated in one of the ministries uncomfortable wooden chairs, waiting for pansy parkinsons court case.
"how can you stay calm draco? the next hour will decide over pansys life and we can do nothing-"
she got interrupted once again.
"merlins beard woman, it's gonna be alright!"
her shaky hands nearly spilled the hot tea in her fist.
"i hope you're right." she sighed, her tired eyes staring at the clock on the opposite wall.
it seemed like time would go backwards.
unnoticed tears formed between her eyelashes, made their way down her flushed cheeks, down her chin and onto her pullover.
then all of a sudden, the heavy court door opened, signaling them to enter the room.
the air promptly felt colder, a cold shiver down her back.
and then she saw her.
it was like a déjà vu, two months back to the little coffee shop at the corner.but this wasn't a love story.
this was burning hell.pansy looked terrible herself.
paler than ever, chapped nail polish and without her iconic red lipstick, she resembled pure death as a broken smile came over her lips when she saw hermione.the minister started talking, but the brunette witch couldn't focus on his words. her head was filled with cotton.
her vision blurred in front of her, just gaping at her girlfriend.she snapped back into reality when she heard her name in the middle of a sentence.
"...at miss grangers apartment the last two months, right?"
and all eyes were on her.
her mind was racing, a unpredictable mess.
"yes." came the short answer out of her mouth, without her consent.
the judge turned to pansy, apparently expecting her to say something.
said slytherin cleared her throat, looking down on the floor.
"that's right, i was staying at miss grangers occupation,"
she now raised her gaze, staring directly into hermiones eyes for the first time in what seemed forever.
her icy blue eyes digging into the gryffindores.
"it was an easy hide away. no one would expect a death eater at 'oh so holy' hermione grangers place. when i met her a few weeks ago, i knew that this was the perfect opportunity for me to disappear from public. that was all. she was just my alibi."
the whole time these horrible words left her lips, she never took her eyes off of hermione.
and if looks could kill, the 'oh so holy hermione granger' would now be six feet under the earth.
fuck.
