Lilly pov
"Please be safe the both of you" mother said kissing the tops of our heads "we will" we said in unison. Draco shakes my father hand, but I gave him a hug before jumping in the train to find my bestfriend. I ran through the Gryffindor carriage until I seen the ginger hair "Ginny!!" I shouted jumping through the doors to give her a hug, she hugged me back tightly "bloody hell are you trying to crush us!" Ron said who had been squeezed into a corner "oh give over Ron" Hermione said "We'll be going now" I said, my eyes meeting green.
I noticed a small smirk on his face and I smiled before running out. When we arrived at the castle and finished the meal I walked up the stairs to the common room, as I turned the corner I bumped into someone and fell to the ground "oh Lilly, sorry I wasn't looking" a familiar voice said as they helped me up "it's fine Harry, I wasn't either" I said with a smile "it's nearly curfew, where are you away" I asked "I just needed to go for a walk" he said "may I join?" I questioned, he nodded. As we walked around the school we didn't speak "I heard your father was helping with the investigation of Sirius black" Harry said
"oh yes, sticking his nose in other peoples business like always" I said "do you think Sirius is a horrible man?" He asked "why do you ask?" I said "I just heard about the crime he committed, curious is all" harry said "I don't think so, I think he's a lonely man who lost a lot and is just trying to figure things out" I said as we reached the common room. We walked in and went our separate ways, as I walked up the stairs I couldn't help but think of the green eyed boy.
(A month into school)
As I walked through the courtyard the leaves had begun to fall of the trees and the grass was covered in red and orange coloured leafs. My thoughts were abruptly stopped when my brother and his friends came running toward me "Draco? Draco what's wrong. Why are you bleeding?" I said looking st his nose and pulling out a tissue "that stupid granger punched me" he said. I quickly cleaned up his nose before running down the hill to catch the three others "hey!" I shouted, they stopped "listen I know my brother can be a prick but how dare you lift your hand to him" I said
"he started it!" Ron said "I don't care who started it, if I hear word that you lay another finger on him Hermione I'll punch you in the nose and you can see how it feels!" I spat, before storming up the hill "no wonder she was put in Gryffindor" Ron said "with an attitude like that, she's quite fistey" Harry said "she was right, I shouldn't have punched him" Hermione said before their voice became a small noise then silence.
After dinner I went up to the common room with Ginny, slight guilt running round my head after how I reacted towards Hermione in particular. When we walked through the common room I seen Hermione and Ron on the sofa "I'll be up soon Ginny" I said as she walked up to the dorm "hey guys...I'm really sorry about how I spoke to you earlier, especially you Hermione. I umm...me and Draco are real big on protecting each other in and out of this school so I just exploded when I seen him hurt. I didn't mean what I said and I'm really sorry...too both of you" I said,
Hermione got up and gave me a hug "it's fine, apology accepted" she said, Ron said the same and I gave him a hug "do you know where Harry is?" I asked "ummm I think he's with the headmaster" Hermione said. I nodded and walked out, wrapping my cloak round me. I walked in the direction of the headmasters office and seen the door open "oh miss Malfoy" the headmaster said as I approached his office "I'm so sorry to disturb headmaster, I was just looking for harry" I said with a smile "not at all, goodnight both of you" He said before saying something to Harry and closing the door
"hey.." he said "hey" I said "listen I'm sorry for what I said earlier....like I said too the others me and Draco are so used to protecting each other in and out of the school I just reacted far too quickly and I'm sorry" I said, my head down "hey it's fine, don't worry apology accepted" he said, I smiled and hugged him. He hugged me tight before letting go my eyes meeting his before I turned away with tint of red blush spreading across my cheeks as we walked back to the common room
