Lilly's pov

I packed a bag and put on my darkest clothes, I grabbed my wand and tied up my shoes. Ginny sat and watched "you're gonna be okay on your own right?" She asked "I'll be fine, I've got my wand with me and a few potions if needed. I should be back within the hour" I replied, checking my watch "It's 9pm, I should be going" i said, giving her a quick hug and walking down the stairs.

Harry and Ron sat on the sofa, I looked his way but he turned away. I felt like someone was pulling on my heart but walked on, not allowing him to upset me anymore. As I snuck past teachers and got to the secret entrance I heard footsteps from behind me, I turned around and saw Harry approaching. Without saying a word he handed me his invisibility cloak "Thank you" I whispered, he only nodded and turned around

"I love you" I said, he stood there for a while and without looking he replied "I love you too", I watched him walk away and then looked back at the tunnel. Closing it up after I got in, it was dark and dust in there, clearly it hasn't been used since the war. When I hit the end up the tunnel I tapped on it twice and was let out of some house elves "Thank you" i said as they helped get the dust off me. They never questioned when someone came through the tunnel, to use to seeing Harry and the other two in and out of it at odd times in the past few years. I wrapped the cloak around me and began to head towards the park.

It was cold and the stars were out, the wind made the tree leaves rustle which every now and then would freak me out. I turned a corner and went across a field, finally seeing the lamp that was always lit no matter what time of the day it was. I could see the flowers me and my mother had painted all around it and smiled. As I approached the lamp I heard footsteps and the snap of a branch, I pulled the cloak off my head "Who's there?" I called out. No response. I quickly got to the lamp and there it was, my mother's photo with a little ribbon around it and a note, picking the note up it read

Lilly

I hope you can now finally be able to find me, I have missed you and your brother dearly. I know it must feel like a stupid treasure hunt or something silly like that, you must think If she can do all this then she isn't hiding or kidnapped or missing. I've done this for your own safety, I'm not the safest to be around right now and by doing this it's allowed me to sort out some loose ends, to make things safer for you and your brother. This photo will show you where to go, we'll see each other soon I promise

Mum

I smiled and put the photo in my bag, wrapping cloak around me and beginning to walk I couldn't help but feel like I was being followed. When i turned around I saw the shadow of someone, they seemed to stay close to the hedges that lined the path. Not thinking about it I ran and slammed the door shut of the sweet shop. Looking out the window I could see the person looking around the streets but they passed the shop, I quickly crawled to the tunnel and closed the door right. Making my way quickly through it, but when I got to the other end I was met with shaklebolt and the headmistress. Harry and Ron by them

"Oh no" I said, climbing out "I...I-" I began but was quickly hushed "Not the time miss Malfoy" mcgonagol said. I nodded, "Right then, boys head back to the dorm" shaklebolt said, I looked at Harry and he had a guilty look in his eyes. I scowled as I handed him his cloak, the bag tightly wrapped up in it "Give it to draco" I hissed as I was brought the headmistress office. "You completely ignored what I said this afternoon" the minister yelled

"How could you be so oblivious!" He shouted "I'm sorry shaklebolt" I said "sorry isn't going to cut this, your very lucky your headmistress talked me out of expelling you" he hissed "thank you" I said gratefully to mcgonogal but she didn't meet my eyes "A months detention scrubbing the cauldrons and a ban on going into hogsmede has been placed. When you show us both that you can actually follow rules I'll consider lifting it. For now, consider yourself very lucky miss Malfoy" the minister hissed, turning away from me. Mcgongal nodded towards the door and I got up and left. By what I saw I had good guess in who told.

"HARRY!" I yelled as I walked in through the common room door "Harry potter you get down here right fucking now!" I yelled, Ginny came running down from the girls dorms while Ron and Harry slowly crept down the boys stairs "How could you!" I shouted "what's happened?" Ginny asked "He told on me! My own boyfriend went behind my back and told on me" I hissed "Harry.." Ginny said

"I thought she was hiding something...I was worried" he replied "Worried!? You've got me banned from leave school premises and a month of scrubbing cauldrons!" I yelled "Now even though I am literally the tiniest bit away from seeing my mum I can't anymore. Because of you!" I cried "Lilly..I-" Harry began, tears were falling down my face as I looked at him "I never ever thought you'd do something like this to me" I said "Lilly you know I never would of intentionally hurt you" Harry said, walking up and trying to grab my hand. I backed away

"No!" I shouted, lifting my hand up "No, that's not going to fix things this time" I said "I trust you but clearly you don't trust me. After all these years I never thought you'd hurt me like this Harry" i cried "Lilly I love you, please come on. We'll go to the lake. We can talk this out, I'll speak to Kingsley" Harry said, his eyes red as he held in tears "No! What don't you understand about this!?" I questioned "I...I need a break, I'm done with this conversation. I'm done with you!" I hissed "Lilly calm down, you don't mean that" Ginny said "I do!" I cried

"you don't trust me, I know the way you see me. That little bit of doubt that I'll one day turn out just like my father...." I whispered. He grabbed onto my waist and fell to the floor "don't say it, we can fix this Lilly" he cried " I love you, come on just hours ago you said you loved me" he cried, Ginny was crying as she sat with Ron "No...you're a completely different person to me Harry..." I cried, looking up. I tried walking away but he wouldn't let go "Harry please" I cried "Please, just let me go" "no, I'm not letting go. I love you, stay with me. I'll fix this" he cried. I wriggled out of his grip and Ginny grabbed my hand, bringing me upstairs. I fell onto my bed in tears and the girls in the dorm swarmed round with hugs but it didn't feel like anything could lift the pain I felt.
