Forbidden Love

Chapter One

This is my first fanfic so please cut me some slack and enjoy.

Lucy's POV

"I still don't think it's safe to camp so close to the Dragon Clan!" I shouted, slamming my fists on my Father's Table.

"Lucy we have gotten closer then ever before to their borders, once we get even closer we'll attack and kill the King and Prince and then we'll forever be at peace." he replied with a stern, yet calm expression.

"I understand that Father but there are to many lives at risk." I clenched my fists and looked down. "I am the 2nd in command of the Celestial Clan, it's my responsibly to make sure my comrade's lives are safe."

My Father walked up to me and placed his hand on my cheek. "You have your Mother's pride and voice, she always followed her heart instead of her mind, she did what she thought was right, but alas she got herself killed in the end." he removed his hand and picked up some papers. "I don't want you, Lucy Heartfilia to suffer the same fate."

I felt my nails digging into my skin, any harder and my palms would most likely start bleeding. "My Mother saved many lives following her heart. What she did wasn't wrong, she risked her life for others. I would gladly do the same." I turned away from him and walked out the door to my room.

When I walked in, I saw my adopted brother Gray. He means the world to me and always will.

"Lucy what's wrong?" he asked, noticing that I was not smiling at him. Gray is the only one who understands me in this world and probably will be the only one who will.

"Father wants us to camp near the borders of the Dragon Clan, but I think it's to close." I stated, slumping down on the floor next to my bed.

"Is he crazy!?" Gray shouted "They can attack us the second we let our guard down!" I looked up at Gray, his black hair was a little frizzy and his blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight, his whole clan was killed by the Iron Clan, a few weeks later my Mother found him and took him in. Ever since then we've acted like real family, not caring that we're from different Clans.

"That's what I tried to tell him! But all he cares about his taking down the King and Prince!" I was shouting as well. If we were to shout any louder, Aquarius, the 1st in command of the Celestial Clan would stomp in here and then we'll both be dead meat.

"But he is the commander, even though we're both 2nd in command we don't have much of a say in the matter." Gray stated, slumping down next to me.

"You make a good point there." I laid my head on his shoulder.

"Lucy, do you ever wish that we all just lived in one big clan and there were no wars?" Gray asked. It's true I have thought about it before, I remember mentioning it to Virgo but she just said to give up the dream, because it was never gonna happen. But maybe Gray had a different opinion on it.

"Yes I have actually, why?" I replied.

"Just curious." he put his hand on the top my head, and rubbed it making my blond hair friz up a bit. I smiled and closed my eyes dozing off and eventually falling asleep.

I grabbed my Celestial sword, and put on my brown boots. Today was the day we head out and set up camp and near The Dragon Clans borders. I placed my long blond hair in a ponytail and rushed out the door.

"Bout time, you're late, if you're ever gonna get a boyfriend like me, I would recommend learning to be on time!" Aquarius shouted at me when she caught me rushing to get my horse.

"Sorry Aquarius....." I mumbled.

"Aquarius!" I looked up at her angry face and noticed Gray trying not to laugh. I realized what I did.

"Uh I mean Commander Aquarius!" I shouted frantically. She looked at me with a smile.

"That's better." she walked over to her horse and sat on it. "Alright let's move out!" she shouted. I got on my horse and Gray got on his as well.

"I saw you laughing!" I shouted playfully hitting him in the back of his head.

"Ow! Ok I'm sorry!" he replied laughing.

We were now at The Dragon Clans borders. It was night and everyone was asleep except me. I knew exactly what I needed to fall asleep, I needed a good bath. I grabbed a change of clothes and a towel I had packed. It was pretty warm outside, so I was sure I wouldn't freeze to death.

I found a nice lake, it was breathtaking, there was a little waterfall and the moon reflected off the water making it sparkle like the stars. I removed my clothes and dipped my toes into the lake, the water wasn't to cold. I was about to get in the water when I heard a twig snap. I saw something run past a bush and into some trees.

"Whose there!?" I shouted.

There was a loud growl, it made me jump, I lost my balance and almost fell into the river when a hand grabbed mine. A pink headed man was now looking at me and I was looking at him.

"Pervert!"
