"Whoa," Vara breathed out, taking in the completely white scene before her. And it wasn't only that, the air in here felt very different from the air outside. It was a lot harder to breathe and hotter. "It feels heavy in here."
"As soon as the door closed, the outside world was closed off," Goku said, going on to show them where everything was located at before he showed them the vast emptiness ahead of them. "In front of us is the reason why I could only stay in here a month when I was a kid."
"What happened?" Gohan asked, standing near the edge that leads off into the white void. "I thought were in a room? How'd it get so big?"
"This is supposed to be the same size as Earth. If you go too far away, you can get lost and die." Goku explained, making both Gohan and Vara a bit nervous now. "The worst thing is that the temperature ranges from 122 degrees to -40. Also, the air pressure's only a fourth of the Earth's, and the gravity is 10x."
"And we're going to spend a year here?"
Gohan and Vara shared a look, both not really sure in what they can do.
"Let's start training. We didn't come here to play," Goku joined Gohan and Vara. "First, we have to turn you into a Super Saiyan."
"A Super Saiyan - me?" Gohan said in a mixture of disbelief and doubt. "Do you think I can do it?"
"Of course, you're half Saiyan."
"Besides," Vara spoke up. "You were a Super Saiyan back in my timeline! So I have no doubt that you will be able to become one now!"
"I want to overcome the limitations of a Super Saiyan and become stronger than anyone else. But what I really want is for the two of you to become stronger than me."
That certainly shocked Vara and Gohan, who honestly didn't believe that they could get remotely close to how strong Goku is or will be, and he wanted them stronger then him?
"Huh? You do?"
"Is that even possible?"
"Of course, I'm sure the two of you can do it."
"But, Vara and Trunks said that in their future, that even if though I was a Super Saiyan, the Androids killed me."
"But this timeline is different than ours," pointed out Vara, ignoring the ache in her heart at being reminded about her Dad's death. Instead, she smiled encouragingly. "You have Goku to train you still, and you definitely didn't train in this room before - otherwise Dad would have had me and Trunks train here too."
"Alright, then let's get started!"

Gohan shouted as his Ki continued to rise, but that's all it was doing. Vara and Goku had to work on getting Gohan into a Super Saiyan before they can do anything else. But, it wasn't starting out a while, and Gohan already looked tired.
"No, that's not it. You're just making your Ki larger." Goku said as Gohan continued to try to become a Super Saiyan. "You have to use your anger. Get angry! Really mad!"
"Easier said than done, I can't get angry like that."
"Vara, how did you and the Gohan from your time turn into a Super Saiyan?" Goku asked, wanting Gohan to get a small idea of what's needed.
"Well, I remember Dad saying that all he had to do was think about the Androids killing everyone and that he'd get some strange feeling in his chest and it just happens. I turned to a Super Saiyan when I was eight. Dad had said some mean things, and I got mad and bam, I became a Super Saiyan."
