A story where the future and present clash together. (F. Trunks fanfiction) Please give this a chance :)
Dragon Ball Series does not belong to me. Obvoiusly.
Vara was lost. She's never been in a mall before and she was starting to regret leaving to wander off on her own. But she really wasn't a shopping type girl like Chi Chi, and she didn't want to see a pageant with Krillin and the others.
Then again, Trunks went with them.. she laughed to herself at that though, wondering what those guys were saying. Deciding that she was going to find them, she focuses on Trunks energy signal and follows it.
"We Martial Artist is like chick magnets," Vara hears Krillin say as she nears them. Krillin, along with Roshi, Oolong, and Trunks were the only ones standing in line, the area was empty save for them. "We just stand in one place and let the hotties come to us."
"Huh, is that how it works?"
The guys screamed, moving away from the voice that came from behind Trunks and stared wide-eyed at the giggling Vara. Her dark hair was tied up into a bun, courtesy of Chi Chi, who wanted to do her granddaughter's hair. She wasn't even wearing her usual Gi, either, instead, she wore a light blue skirt and a white short sleeve shirt. This was also thanks to her grandmother, who originally wanted to put her in a dress.

Vara was not a dress kind of girl, let alone a skirt. Though she had to admit, she kind of liked skirts, and she was wearing shorts underneath just in case. Besides, she liked the blushing looks Trunks was currently giving her.
"Hey, Oolong, let's go peek into the dressing rooms!" Roshi whispered into his friend's ear, hoping the distraction with Vara was good enough for them to sneak away. Oolang agreed and they began to shuffle away when the back of their shirts was caught and they were pulled back.
"I don't think so!" Vara glared at the two perverts. "There is no peaking at anything while I'm here!" She crossed her arms, blocking the way towards the back. "You're going to stand there and wait like any normal person!"
Her voice echoed around the empty area and it made her calm down and look around. They really were the only ones there and it confused her. She turned towards Krillin.
"Hey, do you have your ticket to this thing? Can I see it?" She held out her hand, waiting.
"Um, sure,"
Killin dug into his pocket and held out a small ticket that Vara took. She read it, a laugh bubbling up as she noticed the date of this dumb event. They were so excited about this thing that they didn't pay enough attention to when it actually was.
"This thing isn't until tomorrow morning," She pointed out, showing them all the date for tomorrow on the ticket before giving it back to Krillin. "You all wasted half a day for nothing."
"What!?" Krillin, Oolong, and Roshi exclaimed, double-checking their tickets only to sigh mournfully.
This time Vara laughed as she leaned on Trunks' arm. "At least you have something to look forward to," She stated, slowly calming down, wiping at her eyes were tears formed from laughing too much. She grabbed Trunks hand, pulling him with her. "Let's go eat lunch! I'm sure that's were Goku is at by now."
