With the information on another time machine, Trunks and Gohan left to check it out while Vara stayed on the plane with Krillin, Yamcha, Chi-Chi and a still unconscious Goku. The whole ride to where they were going, and getting Goku off the plane and into the home on the island, Vara once again had that uneasy, uncomfortable feeling and out of habit, she would wring her hands together.

It came to the point that Chi Chi, who kept Vara near her in the little room with a resting Goku, held both of her hands to give the teen some comfort. Vara smiled in thanks, giving Chi Chi a light squeeze for comfort as well.

"We should head back downstairs, let them all know Goku is doing just fine now," Vara said, standing up.

"Yes, they must be worried." Chi Chi smiled, leading the younger girl out of the room and down the stairs announcing to them on Goku's situation. "Goku is resting easily, seems he's having a much easier time of it now."

"What's wrong?" Vara asked, seeing everyone in the room is tensed with their eyes locked onto the TV screen. Just as she asked this, she felt two more people arrive and Gohan and Trunks walked in, confused and concerned about the atmosphere like Vara was.

"Hey, you guys take a look at this news report," Krillin called out

"What news report?"

Even as Gohan said this, he and Trunks walked in further to see the TV better. Vara and Chi Chi did the same thing. Trunks and Vara gravitated towards each other and their hands found each other as they stood side by side taking in what the news reporter was saying.

"What was that-? We just started to hear screaming," The reporter said, fear and anxiety clear in his voice as he spoke about what is happening around him. "And gunfire! We're hearing gunfire nearby! For some reason, the investigative team and the police have started shouting in that direction."

The group can hear the background sounds as the reporter stops talking, looking behind him to see if he himself could see what is going on. And just as the sounds started, the stopped suddenly, confusing everyone.

"What's going on? Everything has suddenly become quiet... We'll try to get as close as we can to determine what -" The reporter stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widening with nothing but pure fear showing on his face as he trembled. Then suddenly the screen is showing nothing but static.

"Quick, switch it to a different channel!"

The channel is switched only to show a camera laying on its side and what looked to be a shoe and clothing laying on the ground. In the background, they can hear people screaming and calling for anyone to save them.

But save them from what, exactly? The group still had no idea what they were dealing with here. Just like on the other channel, the screaming died down until there was an uneasy silence before going back to the studio, announcing that all contacts with their reporters were severed. Trunks and Gohan explained that they found some kind of empty shell near the damaged time machine they went to investigate, and they think this creature is what came out of it.

"I'm... I'm going to go see for myself."

"You are not going there by yourself," Vara is quick to say, holding his hand tighter when he tried to walk towards the door and leave. "I'm going with you."

"I want to go with you, too!" Gohan spoke up, determination clear on his face.

"Gohan!" Chi Chi did not like that, yelling his name quickly after. "You will do no such thing!"

"That's alright, we'll be fine on our own." Trunks said, his thumb rubbing the back of Vara's hand comforting her. "Gohan, you and the other's stay here. If the Androids end up showing it, you'll be here to protect Goku."
